If you’ve been looking for a window into your infant or toddler’s mind, or for a way to reduce frustration and tantrums, then Signing Smart is your answer! Signing Smart children can begin communicating with signs as early as seven months of age, tend to learn spoken words more easily than non-signers, and also show cognitive and linguistic advancements at only four years old. Plus, it’s a whole lot of fun!

SIGNING SMART - TODDLER

If you and your child have already taken the Beginner Signing Smart class (and your child is 15 months or older and has 15 or more signs), you might feel ready to venture into the Signing Smart Talking Toddlers class. In this class, we explore abstract concepts such as places, colors, and emotions, and delve deeper into our children’s growing development and speech. In addition, we learn another ~150 ASL signs, explore how to continue supporting concept and vocabulary development as your toddler’s world and spoken language expand!

The JCC Maccabi Games® are an international athletic competition for jewish teenagers run much like the olympics. Athletes can compete against jewish teens from all over the United States and the world. The Colorado Deligation is headed to the games in Houston! TZELEM FOR TRANS AND NON-BINARY TEENS

CERAMICS INTRODUCTION: WHEEL & HANDBUILDING

This course covers the fundamentals of Ceramics. The first half of this course will introduce the techniques of handbuilding through pinching, coiling, and slab building. The second half will be wheel focused, with the goal of teaching students how to properly throw, trim, and glaze their pieces.

In this class you will learn how to make Challah, the most quintessential of Jewish breads and the centerpiece of the Shabbat and holiday table. Each participant will leave class with one baked loaf and one loaf ready to bake at home. We will also learn how to create multiple braids.

Come learn the joy of making babka. Strands of sweet, eggy, buttery dough are stuffed, traditionally, with chocolate or cinnamon and then twisted together to make the classic swirl.

HAMENTASCHEN

The triangular cut of this seasonal pastry stems from the legendary shape of the villain’s hat in Book of Esther. Come learn to make a variety of delicious hamantaschen at our baking class.
