Jump to Be Fit The PADI Discover Scuba program is designed to give you a chance to experience the thrill of scuba diving and guide you through the basics. Discover Scuba is safe, easy and fun. Scuba equipment, mask, fins, and snorkel are provided, please bring your swimming suit, towel. Each class will last approximately 15 minutes. You must be at least 10 years old to participate. If you love Discover Diving you will have the opportunity to register for the full length basic PADI confined water wading certification course. After completing this certification you are eligible to take an open water diver certification course. Discover Scuba is offered free of charge to members of the Sports & Fitness Center. Reserve your spot by emailing mbrizendine@jccdenver.org or calling (303) 316-6320. Class size is limited to four per session so please reserve your spot in advance.

New FREE Classes this Month • Boot Camp with Reji and Tom - Tues. and Thurs. at 7 a.m. • Cardio Dance with Miley – Tues. and Thurs. at Noon • Gyrokenesis Max with Sara B – Tues. at 5:30 p.m. • Mat Pilates Basics with Tracy – Sat. at 2 p.m.

Couch to 5K at the J

Have you always wanted to run a 5K, but don’t know where to start? Let the JCC help you go from the couch to 5K! This six-week training program runs June 3 - July 15. $20/S&F members You will follow a walk/run progression that will lead you to your goal of running a 5K. Participants will have the option of a weekly group run. A tentative (weather permitting) date for the JCC 5K will be Monday evening, July 16. This will not be a race, but rather a group run that you can do at your own pace. All participants who complete the 5K will get a special JCC t-shirt that they can proudly wear.
