Move & Learn Summer Classes Start June 10! For parents/caregivers and their children ages newborn—5 years Music, Tumbling, Sticky Fingers Cooking, Stroller Bootcamp, Kinder Kixx Soccer,Art,Yoga, afternoon, evening and Sunday classes… we’ve got it all! All classes require pre-registration. There are no refunds for missed classes, but if you choose to come for a makeup in one of our other classes, we’d love to see you! We offer a 25% discounts for multiples and siblings and allow families to “drop in” on a Move and Learn class for $17 (normally $13) per class, as long as the class already has the minimum number of participants needed to run it. Sibling Prep Class Sunday, June 3, 10 a.m. to Noon Cost: $7 per family Moving from being an only child to a big brother or sister is a BIG deal to you and to your child.Please join us for a morning of activities, making gifts for the new baby and big brother/ sister,and learning a bit of ‘what to expect’ when the new baby comes home.
Poolside Playdates Wednesdays, June 13—Aug. 29 10 a.m.—11:30 a.m., JCC Pool Join JCC Family Programs by the baby pool for bubbles, chalk, snacks and fun with friends! If you want more food choices or want to stay for lunch,the JCC snack shack will also be open.Once a month,“the doctor will be in” with Amy Topelson,Psychotherapist MA,MA,NCC. Amy specializes in couples and family
counseling, and will be available to answer any questions you might have about behavior, discipline, communication and more! This event does not require pre-registration. Cost: FREE/JCC Sports and Fitness Members; $5/child/JCC Members and Guests
Working Moms Network (WoMeN): Sunset Hike and Dinner Tuesday, June 19 6 – 9 p.m. $7/person Join the JCC Family Programs for a beginner/intermediate sunset hike on the front range. After we burn a few calories, anyone who wants to, can meet for dinner and drinks at a nearby restaurant. The hike will be led by Kolby Morris, HEA Youth Director and a certified Wilderness First Responder.

PRENATAL CLASSES Jewish Baby University Summer 2012: Sundays, July 8 and 22, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Rose Medical Center Mondays, July 9 and 16, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the JCC Cost: $165/couple Designed for first-time parents, this innovative program combines childbirth education with an exploration of the Jewish traditions and rituals connected with pregnancy, birth and parenting and also provides an opportunity to create lasting friendships. Instructors Rabbi Jeffrey Kaye (Judaic) and Sue Geissler (Prepared Childbirth), lead this program created by the Colorado Agency for Jewish Education and co-sponsored by the JCC and Rose Medical Center.Please note: participants join the Boot Camp for New Dads and Miracles and Mayhem classes. Enrollment also includes a JCC Family Membership.

Becoming a parent is one of the most rewarding experiences you will have, yet also one of the most expensive. It can be overwhelming to understand the changes required to your saving and spending patterns to plan for the everyday costs of having a child, planning for preschool/grade school and for many parents,saving for college. It's also critical to plan for how your children will be taken care of in the event of a loss of a family member. Seth Davis is a Certified Financial PlannerTM who spends much of his time working with younger families. He will provide a solid overview on the financial topics you need to know about and answer any questions you may have.

After attending a class you will be aware of the obstacles that can occur in the first days and weeks and know how to handle them.Instructor Donna Brown,R.N.,IBCLC discusses the advantages of breastfeeding,how breast milk is produced and how to get off to a good start. We recommend taking this class in the last trimester of pregnancy.

Instructors also provide valuable information about the issues new parents often face during the first few weeks of their baby’s life.
