The term Chassidic is widely misunderstood and even more widely misused. As Rabbi Jay TelRav has described himself as a NeoChassidic Reform Rabbi, he says,“We'll explore what that means and peruse the development of Chassidic Judaism. Through the lens of Process Theology, we will employ classic texts from the 18th and 19th centuries as well as modern texts built on these concepts.” You will be encouraged to apply what you know to what you think and then see what comes out!

Wednesday, March 2 Lifelong Jewish Learning An Article of Hope This documentary is about the Space Shuttle Columbia and the loss of seven astronauts from around the world – among them, Col. Ilan Ramon, Israel’s first astronaut. Also gone is an artifact that embodied the glory of the Shuttle’s mission and the despair of its demise: a tiny Torah scroll—smuggled into a concentration camp during the Holocaust; safeguarded by Joachim Joseph, a Holocaust survivor; and carried into space by Col. Ilan Ramon. It is a unique story that interweaves the heights of scientific achievement, the depths of a nation’s cruelty, the private grief of a boy who came of age during the Holocaust, and the public mourning of many nations in the aftermath of the Columbia Shuttle Disaster.
