Movie Monday, September 14 Snow in August Based on the book by Pete Hamill, this movie is set in 1940’s Brooklyn where Michael Devlin, an 11 year-old Irish kid meets Rabbi Hirsch, a recent immigrant to the United States. A friendship blossoms and Michael teaches the Rabbi English and baseball in exchange for lessons in Yiddish, stories about Jewish life in old Prague and the mysteries of the Kabbalah and the Golem. Anti-semitism rears its ugly head in the form of a gang of tough Irish youth. Come and enjoy this movie with its exciting ending of magical realism. Computer Classes This is a new JCC computer training program, taught by Paul Montoya. Paul Montoya started designing software and websites at age 14, started his own computer company, building computers, at age 18, and has over 20 years of experience in computer training. All classes will be in the JCC Computer Lab. Reservations are required one week in advance of class and the JCC reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment.

Registrants who cancel a reservation and notify the JCC seven days prior to a trip will receive a full refund.
