The King’s son, young prince Pippin, longs to discover the secret of true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power (after disposing of his father). In the end, he experiences his way to the answer, which he finds in the simple pleasures of home and family. This hip, tongue-in-cheek, anachronistic fairy tale captivated Broadway audiences and continues to appeal to the young at heart everywhere. *To sign up for an audition, call (303) 316-6360. For the full rehearsal schedule, descriptions and audition information please see the JCC/MACC Fall Activity Guide page 33–34.

The Public Theater’s new Tony-winning production of Hair is the most electric celebration on stage! This exuberant musical about a group of young Americans searching for peace and love in a turbulent time has struck a resonant chord with audiences young and old. Hair features an extraordinary cast and dozens of unforgettable songs, including “Aquarius,” “Let the Sun Shine In,” "Good Morning, Starshine" and “Easy To Be Hard.” Its relevance is undeniable. Its energy is unbridled. Its truth is unwavering. It's Hair, and it’s time. This show has a PG-13 rating.

West Side Story Dec. 18 or 21 1:30—6 p.m. $45/person Denver Center for the Performing Arts Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is transported to twentieth century New York City, as two young idealistic lovers find themselves caught between warring street gangs, the “American” Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks. Their struggle to survive in a world of hate, violence and prejudice is one of the most innovative, heart-wrenching and relevant musical dramas of our time.
