Read all about it! Paper Mill Playhouse is proud to present the premiere of a brand new musical, Newsies, adapted for the stage from the popular Disney film. Based on the 1899 true story of a courageous group of scrappy newsboys who become unlikely heroes when they rally forces to fight an unscrupulous newspaper tycoon. Newsies features lyrics by Jack Feldman and music by legendary composer Alan Menken. With its rousing score, rollicking choreography, and defy-all-odds inspirational story, Disney’s Newsies will have you cheering—and Paper Mill Playhouse is the ONLY place you can see it! The Central Park Zoo’s Wildlife Theater Players perform interactive shows using drama, puppetry, games, and songs. Performances inspire audiences to learn more about their natural world and become part of its protection. This performance features our intrepid Jungle Explorer and her puppet sidekick, Youcan the Toucan, an engaging audience participation poem, geography, and our play The Adventures of Captain Cocoa. The audience joins our humorous superhero, Captain Cocoa, on an adventure to save the rainforest—only to discover it might be the average person who can really save the day.

The classic tale of an aging toymaker and his puppet, Pinocchio, takes on timely issues in Disney’s My Son Pinocchio. Grammy Award-winner Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Children of Eden) adds a compelling score of original songs to the beloved classics When You Wish Upon a Star and I’ve Got No Strings. Join the Blue Fairy, Stromboli, and a lively cast of characters as Geppetto journeys beyond the Toy Shop to discover what makes the “perfect child.” You will love following Pinocchio’s journey from an awkward wooden puppet to a real, live boy. This family-friendly musical is a magical mix of heartwarming fairy tale and action-packed adventure.

Xanadu follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach, California in 1980 on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to achieve the greatest artistic creation of all time—the first Roller Disco! (Hey, it’s 1980.) But, when Kira falls into forbidden love with the mortal Sonny, her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation and chaos abounds. It’s hilarity for adults, children, and anyone who has ever wanted to feel inspired, as one of Broadway’s master storytellers, Douglas Carter Beane, weaves a moving, electrifying tale of endless fun that will keep you in stitches, while the original, legendary chart-topping tunes lift you out of your seat. You’ll want to keep the music in your head, and Xanadu in your heart, forever.

All courses are conducted by American Red Cross authorized instructors and instructor trainers.
For each level of Parent and Child Aquatics, our instructors follow a plan to introduce new swimming and water safety skills that are developmentally appropriate for infants and young children. Routines and the familiar are extremely important to your young swimmer. Each class uses toys, songs, fun, and games to keep the children engaged and enjoying the water experience, all the while teaching them basic aquatic skills.
It is important to understand that Parent and Child Aquatics is not designed to teach infants and toddlers to become skilled swimmers or even to survive in the water on their own.

The classic tale of an aging toymaker and his puppet, Pinocchio, takes on timely issues in Disney’s My Son Pinocchio. Grammy Awardwinner Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Children of Eden) adds a compelling score of original songs to the beloved classics When You Wish Upon a Star and I’ve Got No Strings. Join the Blue Fairy, Stromboli, and a lively cast of characters as Geppetto journeys beyond the Toy Shop to discover what makes the “perfect child.” You will love following Pinocchio’s journey from an awkward wooden puppet to a real, live boy. This family-friendly musical is a magical mix of heartwarming fairytale and actionpacked adventure. Audition Information Prepare an up-tempo song (Happy Birthday is OK!) to sing a cappella—be prepared to dance. Come either day any time and plan to stay about an hour. Callbacks TBA

THE TEEN PRODUCTION COMPANY proudly presents:
Xanadu follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach, California in 1980 on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to achieve the greatest artistic creation of all time—the first Roller Disco! (Hey, it’s 1980.) But, when Kira falls into forbidden love with the mortal Sonny, her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation and chaos abounds. It’s hilarity for adults, children, and anyone who has ever wanted to feel inspired, as one of Broadway’s master storytellers, Douglas Carter Beane, weaves a moving, electrifying tale of endless fun that will keep you in stitches, while the original, legendary charttopping tunes lift you out of your seat. You’ll want to keep the music in your head, and Xanadu in your heart, forever. Audition Information Prepare an up-tempo and ballad song (Happy Birthday is OK!) to sing a cappella—be prepared to dance. Come either day any time and plan to stay about an hour. Callbacks TBA

When the human body becomes the weight on a rolling incline surface it is free to move in any plane of motion. The Gravity Training System (GTS) engages all five components of exercise: body composition, muscular endurance, cardio endurance, muscular strength, and flexibility. Clients of any age and fitness level work every major muscle group in a functional manner in less than an hour! Incline Resistance Training on the GTS provides a workout and results that cannot be achieved on any other piece of equipment. Sessions run about 45-55 minutes depending on the group. Fee and sign-ups required. Contact Sharon Tobey (stobey@) or 973-530-3407 for more information.
