Who’s Who in the Cast Meredith Hollan (Linda/Diane) is a local KC Metro performer and is thrilled to be returning for her 5th Theatre in the Park production. You may have recently seen her in Something Rotten at The J, Children of Eden at OCTA or Cinderella at Theatre in the Park (outdoors.) She is delighted to share this original work with you and hopes you enjoy it! Paul McArdle (Howard/Grandma) is from Lenexa and attended the University of Kansas where he earned his degree in economics. He now works as an insurance professional for a financial services firm. You may have seen Paul last winter in And to All a Swipe Right here at TIP Indoor, and he is thrilled to return and spread some holiday cheer once again! He thanks his friends and family for their support, and hopes you enjoy the show! Kelsey Nicholes (Maddie) This is Kelsey’s debut at Theatre in the Park. She has a background in ballet and has danced within the corps de ballet with the The Saint-Petersburg Classic Ballet Theatre of Marina Medvetskaya. Her favorite roles are Jackie, Disaster! and Marcy, Ravenscroft. You can next see her in the upcoming production of Picnic at Smet Theatrics. Peter Volmert (Joe) is thrilled to make his KC area acting debut with the cast and crew of A Campbell Family Christmas! Previous credits include Georg Nowak in She Loves Me, Lenny Ganz in Rumors, and Perchik in Fiddler on the Roof, all at Benedictine College. Peter graduated in 2019 with a BA in Theatre Arts Management. He’d like to thank his friends and family for being the best a man could ask for! Merry Christmas everyone!
Who’s Who on the Production Staff Marsha Canaday (Music Director/ Conductor/Accompanist) is very excited to be a part of this original show. It’s always fun to do something new and she thinks you will really enjoy this madcap story of Christmas at the Campbell’s. She has been involved as music director/conductor/accompanist for many shows at TIP since 2001 and has also worked in other Kansas City area theaters in the same capacity. She is retired from being a choral accompanist at several different high schools in the Kansas City area and enjoys traveling when she can and being a part of her grandchildren’s lives. She is looking forward to April when she will celebrate 50 years of marriage to her husband Tom, whose support and encouragement allows her to do what she loves. Jayson Chandley (Lighting Designer) is excited to be working on yet another great production at Theatre in the Park. He has spent the past 4 years as the manager of Technical Services, designing many things for Worlds of Fun & Cedar Fair Amusement Parks, and the Production Manager for the White Theatre prior to that. Other technical credits include Fiddler on the Roof for KC Starlight, Eating Raoul, Debbie Does Dallas, The Last 5 Years, Hedwig & the Angry Inch for Eubank/Egads Productions; and work for Johnson County Community College, Spinning Tree Productions; Musical Theatre Heritage, as well as many other projects in KC, regionally, and internationally. “Thanks to Mom for being such a wonderful and encouraging force in my life! Through all of my crazy endeavors.”

Bethany Elliot (Scenic Designer) is thrilled to be scenic designing for this hilarious new work. Elliott received her BFA in Design Tech in 2019 from Avila University. Shortly after graduating she decided to continue her education in the Scenic Artist Training Program at Cobalt Studios in New York. Bethany is primarily a scenic artist and muralist, but she has stepped into scenic design quite a bit since returning to KC at the end of 2020. Her most recent scenic design was for Half Time this past summer at Theatre in the Park. Bethany wants to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy new year! Trevor Frets (Director) has worked for Theatre in the Park for five years as a House Manager and as an Assistant Director (Annie, 2019). He is a videographer and photographer, owning the aerial videography company View High Productions, LLC. He has a license with the FAA for commercial drone operations. Trevor graduated from TCU (2015) with a BFA in Acting, and has acted in DFW, NYC, LA, and KC. Go Frogs! And Merry Christmas/Hanukkah! Catherine Lewis (Stage Manager) has been stage managing or assistant stage managing for TIP since 2011. Highlights include Ragtime, Shrek, Mary Poppins, Annie, and, most recently Curtains. She always enjoys returning to the TIP booth, especially because of all the wonderful people involved. Her day job is teaching English at Olathe North High School. Soph Marsh (Book, Music & Lyrics) is the New Works Dramaturg at KC Public Theatre. Recent credits include Heirlooms by Bethany Vermillion and the world premiere production of MIRRORS by Kaitlin Gould. Soph has also been on the
scenic crew for TIP since 2019 and is thrilled for A Campbell Family Christmas to premiere on the TIP stage. A Campbell Family Christmas is Soph and Joel’s debut musical and they look forward to collaborating on many more in the future. Amelia O’Berg (Asst. Stage Manager) This is Amelia’s first time working in Theatre in the Park. Previously, she was assistant stage manager at Olathe North High School for Godspell and The Importance of Being Earnest. She is looking forward to working within community theater more in the future. Louisa Swithenbank (Props Designer/ Coordinator) is originally from London where she studied acting and contemporary dance at La Swap College. She then went on to JCCC and studied theatre and performing arts under professor Beate Pettigrew. Louisa is excited to be apart of this lovely production for TIP. Joel Walley (Book, Music & Lyrics) is a writer, composer, and performer making his way into the KC theatre scene after finishing his B.F.A in Music and Theatre. Previous compositional work includes dance and incidental music for For Such a Time as This by Bethany Vermillion and song settings for Southwest Baptist University’s production of Brecht’s The Exception and the Rule. He was last seen performing in Hell, MT by Soph Marsh in the KC Fringe Festival.
