You are cordially invited to play the next round of Play It Forward. The game is not designed to merely leave the players with knowledge Rather, the game is designed to give its players an actual access to what it looks like to be a man or woman of exceptional performance. After engaging with the model over the duration of the game, you are invited to determine for yourself whether this model has the power to deliver on the following promises. This game promises to be an access to dramatic increases in workability and performance in the lives of individuals, relationships, and organizations. However you wish to define performance, ranging from the ability to produce intended results, through competitive advantage, value creation, empowering and enabling others, to enhanced quality of life.
Our promise to our players is that if they honor their word to fulfill the requests they make of themselves. Through our commitment to performance, and innovation, we are continually challenging ourselves on how to provide our players with a miraculous experience. Our approach is: •
An effective paradigm to serve our players.
•
Measurable results that inspires the world.
•
The Performance of the individual is a function of what they do and what they don’t do. Period.
GAME LOGISTICS This Game occurs in a timespan of 2 months. There is a daily mandatory morning call where players are required to attend 3 out of 5 of the weekday calls. If a player misses more than the allotted call absences without grave reason, then the said player will be sequentially excommunicated. Each call session is approximately 30 minutes. On the weekdays of the game players are required to post three tasking's that will forward their game before noon. 3 failure’s to comply within a week will result in excommunication from the group.
After years of working with Transformative Learning we have found that the “rules of the game must be honored to allow all participants to realize the maximum value from this game. Please do whatever you have to do during your participation in this game to honor these rules of the game, and the conditions for realizing the promise of the course.
THE CALL IS A RANT FREE ZONE A rant (something that comes out in an emotionallycharged string that is triggered by something that happens on the call ). A rant is when someone rambles on without making any point. In this game, take the opportunity to demonstrate leadership by empowering and enabling your playmates – especially when things are difficult for them.
Forwarding the action means for example, taking something presented, or something said by another participant, and building on it to expand its usefulness or potency, or making it clearer or more readily accessible. Authentic dissent can also forward action. There is obviously a range to “forwarding the action. On the other end of the range, what is not forwarding the action, would be distracting conversations, or making others wrong, or refusing to allow the discussion or lecture to go on, or refusing to accept something for consideration.
What the Game Provides for it’s Players We can always do better by constantly refining the way we define our performance with greater focus and more attention. The game allows the players to continue working to manage the impacts not only in their games, but it reaches across into their lives. Play it Forward, refers to this type of continuous improvement as seeking our “personal best.” It’s much like the one-mile race, with world records bested by fractions of a second over years or decades without a major breakthrough but ultimately resulting in significant cumulative change. We recognize the bar can always be higher and that sometimes it seems just out of reach. We’re constantly asking ourselves what Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman asked his company’s first designers: “Is that the best we can do?” This is an incessant inquiry players get to explore in the journey of implementing breakthrough results in their lives.
