JEAN-PIERRE VILLAFAÑE ARCHITECTURE PORTFOLIO COLUMBIA GSAPP
Jean-Pierre Villafaùe is a graduate of Columbia University’s GSAPP with a Masters in Architecture, and a Manhattan based muralist and painter. Aroused by art in the urban environment, he started embellishing walls with graffiti during his youth in Puerto Rico. Unsatiated, he began studying architecture and industrial design at SCAD where he fused painting, sculpture and illustration with architecture to establish his own visual language. His eclectic work is inspired by a concoction of music, film, dance and daily reveries. This portfolio is an antology of architecture and art projects. Academic work was produced during three years at Columbia University. The process for each project was complimented by personal artistic work in different mediums including: mural, painting, illustration, sculpture and fashion.
