I love plants and flowers, the wild varieties. When I first discovered spring wildflowers I began drawing them as a way to get to know the features of the plants. I was outside every day tracking down the latest bloomers. Now I am expanding my drawing to include flowers throughout the growing season and natural features at all times of year. My interest has shifted from being primarily about the plants to being just as strongly about the art. I draw for the sake of creation, as well as to learn the details of how each plant is constructed.
