Outre Gallery Year 3
Individual work
The design of the OutrĂŠ Gallery is inspired by the hipster art that the gallery is selling. I would like to make the Gallery as a piece of pop land art and insert it into the boring Brunswick. By doing so, a sense of playfulness can be inserted into Brunswick.

The University of Melbourne Archives Year 3
Individual work
The design of the archives is derived from the idea of the archiving items. For each of them, it is seen as a unique one. Therefore, a distorted form is designed. With such a form, it reflects how different people interpret an object in different ways since it creates a numerous distinctive perspectives. For example, one may perceive it as information and the other one may take it as an artwork.

The Discovery Centre Year 2
Individual work
This Discovery Space is located on a small island in Melbourne. This discovery space is design for people to discover the Aboriginal and European culture and functions as a place for cultural exchange. The design of the discovery center is inspired by the bitter history of Australia. The idea is developed as to show how the Europeans are overpowering the Aboriginals by using the shadow cast on the ground from the above structure.

Spinning Leaf Year 1
Individual work
Spinning Leaf is a wearable lantern. It is designed to be worn on the head. My idea is developed from the dead spinning leave on windy days. The panelling pattern, triangles with depth, is developed from the pattern observed from the v e i n s o f a l e a f. O n t h e o t h e r h a n d , s i n c e I a m g o i n g t o m a ke a lantern, I would like to create holes on the lantern as to allow lights to pass through. The density of the holes is designed by following the growing rule of veins on leaves.
Different perspectives of the Spinning Leaf. Using Rhino and Grasshopper for fabrication.
