The Dynaway BLUE Modules TIME AND ATTENDANCE Touch based Time & Attendance for Microsoft AX® The touch based clients running Dynaway BLUE are the perfect solution for time and attendance in the office as well as on the shop floor.

Dynaway BLUE gives workers instant access to flexible hours and overtime balances, and ensures complete and accurate registrations to be used in a payroll system. This functionality greatly reduces the workload on the payroll department. Basically, this functionality comprises time and attendance registrations, which include the following registration types:

Clock-in / clock-out Absence Flextime Overtime Indirect activities: Tasks not directly connected to a specific production job or project, for example, staff meetings, courses, and repair jobs.

BLUE integrates seamlessly with the Shop Floor Control module in Microsoft Dynamics® AX, which handles those registration types. The options in this module can be extended with the possibility of time registration relating to a worker’s work time profile, which is set up in Shop Floor Control.

A work time profile divides a work day into various parts, for example, standard time, overtime, and breaks. If the worker arrives later or leaves earlier than defined in his or her work time profile, the system requires an absence code explaining the absence reason. When logging on to a BLUE terminal, the worker is presented with a job queue containing the jobs and tasks that are planned for the work day.

The worker makes registrations on the production jobs or other tasks in the job queue during the day. The registrations are transferred to Microsoft Dynamics AX, always ensuring an updated production status. When a worker’s registrations have been approved in Shop Floor Control, they can be used to calculate the worker’s pay. Generating a payroll basis is a part of the functionality in Shop Floor Control.

Dynaway BLUE features JOB REGISTRATION Paperless Job Registration for Microsoft Dynamics AX® With Dynaway BLUE the worker can make job registrations using RFID or bar codes. Workers can access production instructions directly from touch terminals running Dynaway BLUE, thereby facilitating a paperless production environment.

Dynaway BLUE’s close integration with the Shop Floor Control module in Microsoft Dynamics AX allows workers to view a list of production jobs or project jobs (the job queue) that needs to be completed. It is designed for “mission critical” operation in modern production environments.

Our philosophy is that the terminals are “occasionally connected” to Microsoft Dynamics AX, but whether offline or online, Dynaway BLUE users are not affected.

The key benefit is that workers can always register time and attendance as well as make job registrations such as “job started”, “quantity feedback”, and “report good and scrapped items” – even in case your ERP system or company network breaks down.

The Dynaway BLUE Modules MAINTENANCE Equipment management for Microsoft Dynamics AX® Dynaway BLUE can handle equipment breakdown through a browser-based interface, allowing machine operators to create detailed service requests. Preventive maintenance can also be handled by machine operators, ensuring fast and efficient handling of those recurring tasks.

Dynaway BLUE also allows you to track information about downtime in the production flow, or on a specific machine. Workers can create reports regarding reasons for failure on a machine, transport facilities, or other types of production equipment. Dynaway BLUE empowers the shop floor to handle equipment breakdown and issue corrective maintenance requests, thereby allowing machine operators to directly increase equipment efficiency.

QUALITY CONTROL QA and Automation for Microsoft Dynamics AX® Dynaway BLUE quality assurance can be automated. Scrap causes from PLC equipment can be automatically collected as an alternative to manual registration.

With Dynaway BLUE’s seamless integration into Microsoft® Dynamics AX, the infrastructure required to ensure communication between the production equipment on the shop floor and your ERP system is in place.

Dynaway BLUE features DOCUMENTS Document handling in Dynaway BLUE In the Documents module, documents and notes can be accessed by workers on a BLUE client.

The documents or notes can be set up to be visible to all workers accessing a BLUE client. Document access can also be limited to specific workers who can read the documents or notes when they log in on a BLUE client.

The Dynaway BLUE Modules OEE Overall Equipment Effectiveness for Microsoft Dynamics AX速 Dynaway BLUE can communicate directly with PLCs using the OPC protocol, and also indirectly via SCADA systems to provide real-time OEE statistics and KPIs. The OEE data can be presented graphically on the Dynaway BLUE client.

The OEE module in Dynaway BLUE offers you the ability to measure actual effectiveness of the production compared with scheduled effectiveness. Any differences will be tracked, including machine uptime and downtime, good and scrapped items produced, and so on.

Furthermore, Dynaway BLUE can be set up to capture data from PLCs or SCADA systems and display results and information of those production data types in a user-friendly graphical interface.

Data display can be adapted to meet the needs of shop floor workers, team leaders, production managers, and management in general. Instant real-time information is the key to continuous improvement.
