Manuel time registration costs BASIS OF CALCULATION In our example, we focus on a production- or project-oriented company with 200 employees. We describe the four most cost-intensive areas for the manual registration process. Our calculations are based on an hourly wage per employee of EUR 18.00, resulting in an annual wage of EUR 33,333 and 1,850 paid work hours per employee. Time estimations are minimum consumption schedules for the described tasks meaning that, most likely, the actual time consumption will be 10-20% higher than stated in our calculations. Our example is indicative and may vary from one company to another. The objective is to provide a general overview of work hours used in the process of manual handling of time registration. All figures are based on data collected from 237 companies over a period of 11 years

Calculation and approval of time registrations Time registration forms must be produced, printed, and handed out. The filled-out forms need to be collected, calculated, and approved. Monthly time consumption: 15 min. per employee

Correction of erroneous registrations When the initial calculation is done, errors must be corrected. Typically, these are errors that manual systems cannot warn against. Examples are absence not registered or confirmed, missing sick leave registrations, flexible hours, overtime, absence because of sick children, and incorrect rounding off. Failure ratio costs The most cost-intensive errors are caused by manual handling of data, for example, incorrect data regarding work hours (clock-in, clock-out, vacation, breaks, absence) as well as round off, lieu days that are not held, and missing registrations. Some companies have calculated a loss of 1.2% of the annual wage costs. In our example, that sums up to EUR 6,660 per month.

Mobile time registration costs HOW MUCH CAN YOU SAVE? This example includes costs regarding installation of Mobile Time for time and attendance registration. It is a prerequisite that Shop Floor Control functionality (and, if required, Project Management functionality) is already set up in Microsoft Dynamics速 AX. Mobile devices In our calculation, we assume that employees use their mobile devices for time registration, for example a smartphone or tablet using iOS, Android, or Windows, or a laptop. The mobile client uses the latest browser version (Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox).

Software installation Mobile Time software installation is based on a fixed price. In our example, the fixed price includes installation and software in a company with 200 employees. The installation cost may increase or decrease, depending on the size of the company.

Handling registrations Calculation, approval, and follow-up regarding employee registrations still exist, but with the Mobile Time solution, these tasks only take five minutes per employee per month = a total of 17 hours per month in our example.
