JANUARY HIGHLIGHTS CLASSIC LIVING ROOM WITH A CONTREMPORARY TWIST
A typical living room serves diverse daily functions such as a formal living room, a parlour for reading, a relaxing spot and an area to entertain guests. If its the only living space you have you will also use it to wat ch TV and to spend time with family. Hence, this room is of utmost importance and has to have definately a comfortable sofa, a coffee table and a focal point, such as a fireplace or TV unit.
In the above Living room the focal point is the TV unit, having glass cabinets on the sides, wood panelling behind the TV set and drawers at the base for maximum space utilisation. We have placed mirrors on the side wall in order to double the size in perspective and to give this room that posh look. The style here is classic but we still managed to achieve that contemporary kick with the introduction of a contemporary sofa and a soft colour scheme. We utilised a natural colour scheme based on browns, beiges and creams to compliment this rooms' furniture style and layout............and voilĂ ' there you have it, a living room bursting with style and elegance.
