Architect and urban designer with over 10 years of professional experience in management, architecture, construction and leadership. I started my professional career as a young apprentice in the design sector of one of the largest construction companies in Brazil. After completing my degree, I assumed the position of architect project coordinator, leading the team of architects and engineers from the early design stages to the completion of the construction. During this period, I also acted as volunteer in restoration projects of vulnerable communities. In 2018, I assumed the position of project manager at the largest construction company in São José dos Campos, a city near São Paulo. Later in the same year, I was selected to join the Network for Future Global Leaders program in Sweden, being appointed as the Chairperson of the local community in Lund, organizing events related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Today, I develop my master’s degree research in sustainable urban design, the future challenges of cities around the world, and how architects and planners must respond to the growing demand for cities that are increasingly green, beautiful, fair and sustainable.

MANAGEMENT

As project and product manager, my responsibilities were to coordinate the entire project process, from the purchase of the land to the completion of the construction. I worked on all the stages of a project lifetime, from the development of concept, preliminary and final detailed designs, to the certification processes, construction phase, and final building. This portfolio gathers samples of processes and activities I have developed as a Project Manager, divided into three groups: Project management, Construction management, and Completed project samples.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT 01. Product and design concept Product management is an essential part of the project process. In the early stages of the design, the work focused on the concept, feasiability of the proposal and the product attributes. My participation in the design process begins with the initial site analysis, the development of the initial product proposals, the first briefings, support materials, and reviews, ending with a preliminary design of the final product. I also coordinated the development of the first aesthetic versions of the product, such as the facades.

Sample of a product concept for the living room integrated with the kitchen. As a new process implementation, I participated in the migration of the product material to a virtual reality model, in which clients could experience the product in a simulated environment, using VR technology.

Visualization for the apartment model. The elaboration of the project concept, the mix of typologies, footage, technical and product premises were determined at this stage and were essential parts of my routines.

Acting as Project Coordinator provided me with key design and leadership skills. My role was to lead the project team in the development of the design process from conceptual phase through construction. It was also part of the routine to ensure that each team is engaged in the development process and the constant improvement of the technical design solutions. The management of the processes, project budget and time were essential parts of my routine. I’ve contributed to the development of the management processes for internal and external stakeholders, cost limits and project timelines, ensuring efficiency and technical quality.

These workflows ensured security in the project coordination process for all areas involved, being inter-disciplinary and collaborative.


PROJECT MANAGEMENT 03. Project guidelines and certifications Defining the guidelines for the draft, preliminary and detailed final project were one of the most important assignments I had as a project manager. These guidelines were one of the main tools for the technical team I coordinated. I was also credited as a technical auditor for ISO quality certification processes by the Vanzolini Foundation, one of the most respected in São Paulo.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT 04. Technical analysis of concept,

preliminary and final detailed design Technical analysis is an essential part of the process, at all stages of the project, and was therefore part of my routine. The analysis of all the technical disciplines of the project, such as architecture, structure, installations, foundation and others contributed to my technical growth and professional development. As a project manager, the technical mastery of all project disciplines was essential to the high quality levels of the projects I was responsible for.

The coordination of companies specialized in technical solutions were key parts of my Project interference analysis, always ensuring the quality of the solutions and the technical feasibility of responsibilities as the project manager execution.

Presentations ranged from technical design themes to management processes. Spreading knowledge and establishing a collaborative environment are core values that I have been performing in my career.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT 06. Research and innovation Innovation and research for new technologies are the input form of the design and construction process, and as a project manager, it was also part of my routine. Visits to factories, suppliers, events, and innovation fairs were crucial elements for the constant innovation needed for project development.

Visit to an innovation fair to research new technologies and design solutions. Among the main fairs that I visit for years is the Feicon, a major innovation fair for the Brazilian civil construction sector.


CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT 07. Technical feasibility and site analysis

In situations of contaminated terrains, the environmental management team determined the best design strategy to recover the area to appropriate levels.

During the beginning of the construction management process, the first phases of the project was the evaluation of the on land assessment. Mappings, as well as decontamination treatment solutions, when needed, were also part of my career assignment.

Technical studies of terrain typologies in a site located in SĂŁo Paulo. The main objectives of studies such as this were to determine the terrain composition, water and rock levels, and layer strength to determine the best foundation type.


The site visit also validated early stages and project decisions, such as the location of existing infrastructures, green and blue structures and type of terrain.

The first stages and start of the construction site are also followed by the project management, validating that the initial structure is following the project definitions.


CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT 08. Construction monitoring and coordination Technical monitoring of the development of the construction site was an important part of my duties as project manager.

Follow-up visits took place throughout the construction period, validating solutions, answering questions from the engineering team and assisting with possible changes to the project.

The visits took place periodically to ensure that, as a project manager, I had a complete understanding of the different project solutions adopted and their impacts on site.


CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT 09. Production project and prototypes An important part during the construction process was in a specific project to optimize the execution of the construction, called production project. I also acted as the manager of these specific projects, where rationalization solutions were designed, being validated by the entire engineering team leadership through prototypes on site.

All innovations and prototypes designed were approved by the leadership of the construction engineering team after site visits to verify the prototypes.


The main innovations implemented on site were always designed in prototypes, a process that is part of project and construction management.


COMPLETED PROJECTS The following projects are a collection of some buildings concluded between 2017 and 2018, in which I was the project manager.

10. Varanda Tatuapé Tatuapé, São Paulo - Brazil Conclusion: 2017

Project located in the east of São Paulo, has as composition an urban residential complex and two towers, with varied units of typologies.

The project concept was based on the distribution of different uses throughout the complex, which houses recreation centers for groups of all ages.


In this project my main challenge was to work with project definitions involving towers projected over a garage building. The result was a building finished with high quality and efficiency.


COMPLETED PROJECTS 11. Panamérica Brickell Santo Amaro, São Paulo - Brazil Conclusion: 2017

Project located in the south of São Paulo, with two residential towers and an estimative for expansion of the complex with two additional towers.

The walking and activity areas are designed to ensure the better integration between users.


This project was a great professional experience for me due to its degree of complexity with the surroundings and the city. The final result was a project that integrated a new green structure and functions into this area of the city.


COMPLETED PROJECTS 12. Vetrino Brooklin Brooklin, SĂŁo Paulo - Brazil Conclusion: 2017

Located in the south of SĂŁo Paulo, this project consists of a residential tower, and features several elements of rational use of energy and water, having received Aqua certification of sustainability.

The social areas are designed to maximize green areas, plus solar panels, water reuse systems and equipment automation.


It was a great professional experience to be able to manage this project. I had a profound learning of solutions for energy efficiency, water consumption and reuse, and especially in the Aqua sustainability certification process, one of the most important in the country.


COMPLETED PROJECTS 13. Legacy Vila Mariana Vila Mariana, SĂŁo Paulo - Brazil Conclusion: 2017

Consisting of a residential tower and a commercial ground floor, this project features solar energy solutions and an extensive green roof.

The social areas were designed with sophistication and design, being considered one of the most beautiful results by the developer in its conclusion year. Design and execution solutions have been worked to the utmost to ensure the high quality results of the work.


The various technical solutions, as well as the diversity of use and high quality of the details of this project, served as a great learning experience for me. The biggest lesson lies in the high quality and the value of the details.


COMPLETED PROJECTS 14. Cyrela The Year Edition Alto da Lapa, SĂŁo Paulo - Brazil Conclusion: 2018

Being located near the central region of SĂŁo Paulo, this project consists of residential tower with various typologies and a modern design.

The high degree of detail and the modern design concept were the main features of this project, which ensured excellent customer satisfaction results.


This project presented a complex terrain situation, with level difference of about 25 meters in the natural terrain. In this way, the building was designed to take advantage of this gap and to ensure better site use.


COMPLETED PROJECTS 15. Misti Morumbi

Morumbi, SĂŁo Paulo - Brazil Conclusion: 2018

Being one of the largest constructions carried out by the developer in 2018, this project has an urban complex, reacreation areas and three mixed use towers.

The social areas were integrated with the various uses provided for in the project, ensuring an optimal integration for the users, as well as an expansion of the city’s existing green areas in this region.


Having several areas of different uses and an extensive built up area, this project served as a great learning for me in the areas of mixed functions and use of green structures to create an urban regeneration area.
