I have worked hard the last two months as your employee. I work in the front counter to serve cupcakes and ice cream. My passion is to one day be a baker. I may not have a degree of passing, but I do have passion. I would like to have a chance to expand my experience by working in the kitchen. I would like to be able to bake, frost, and decorate the cupcakes in the back. I have had some practice with you, but I would like to have the actual job. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter. Thanks again, Kimberly Paoli

Reflection #1 After three years in the class, there’s not much that I have not learned. Most of my learning was done in the very beginning. For deadlines, I really just relearned the time is important and that I must have everything done on time. I learned team work a lot in the first year. This is not just my yearbook and I must compromise and work together with the others to create an amazing yearbook. Journalism ethics was important throughout the whole three years. I learned that I must always be hone and tell the truth when create a record of events. I have never written anything false in the yearbook. I was not as dedicated this year as the last two years. Being a senior, this book should have felt like mine, but it really didn’t. I had no say in a lot of the decision making in the beginning and that made me less dedicated to the book. I would never let my classmates down by slacking on my work though. I still worked hard, but it wasn’t for my own satisfaction, it was or the other kids. I feel that the hardest thing for me this year was feeling left out. I never really felt like a part of the yearbook team. I had a horrible job in the beginning that honestly felt worthless. I got to manage people and nominate people for the reference pages. I did more of the copy editing than the copy editor did. I spent many hours on my own times reading through every spread and felt I never got recognition for my work. I wish I could have spoken up in the very beginning because I probably would have enjoyed everything much more. Despite not having much motivation, i did what I needed to do to make the other kids in the class happy about the yearbook.
Reflection #2 I think that my most significant contribution to the yearbook their year would have to be my work on the sports pages. I helped Korie a lot to fill in missing names. I also corrected misspelled names to make sure they were correct. Also, Meghan, Alexa, and I stayed after on the very last day of yearbook work to help out. We stayed during lunch to help take pictures of the Junior Varsity and the Freshman varsity baseball team. After that, I went home and uploaded the picture on the computer. Finally, I filled in the last names. I would have to say that this is a significant contribution, because without our help, the page would be blank. All the kids were in New York and could not help. For my current role, I helped a lot with copy editing. I went through almost every single spread and did my best to correct them. I would read through captions, subheads, main stories, everything. I also helped Alexa to read and edit main stories before they went on the spread. I am really proud of all the work I have done this year to help out in the yearbook class.
Tear Sheets
Here are picture examples of my copy editing. I wrote down everything that the teams needed to fix on their soread and I sent them an image. I would go through every spread and make several changes myself.
All the information for these tear sheets were taken from Trello.

All About Me
Big Little Dream
Kimberly Paoli discusses her desire to own her own tiny home in the future For the last two years, the tiny house movement has taken the world by storm. Kimberly Paoli, a senior, has spent the last two years watching television shows about the tiny house movement and dreaming of her own home. She watches shows ranging from building them from scratch to simply searching for them. She has toured several tiny homes so far. “I’ve never seen anyone so obsessed with tiny homes. It’s all she watches on tv,” said Paoli’s mom, Karen. Paoli also enjoys watching shows like Fixer Upper and House Hunters Renovations. Along with having a tiny home, Paoli would like to build it herself. “I’ve watched a lot of diy shows about building and renovating a home. I love diy’s and there’s nothing better than building your own home,” said Paoli. While building her tiny home, it should feature a large kitchen so she can continue her baking as well as a comfortable sleeping place so she can nap easily. A decent sized shower and a flushing toilet is a must. “I don’t think I could ever deal with a compostable toilet. That’s just nasty,” said Paoli. Building a tiny home from scratch is something that Paoli can see herself doing in the future. “There’s no other person I could see living in a tiny home,” said Alyssa Grove, Paoli’s best friend. Though her family thinks she is crazy, she thinks it is a brilliant idea.
