How did you get involved in Real Estate? It had always been in the back of my mind to be a Realtor. I loved showing new transferees homes that were available for them for the company my husband works for. The summer my in-laws became ill, I spent a great deal of time with them on their road to recovery. With the job I had at the time, I couldn’t take time off to be available when they needed me. I took the big step, changed careers and became a Realtor. It has afforded me the opportunity to be on call for aging parents and new Grandbabies.

Why choose to become a Realtor? I love being around people and I love helping people. One of the greatest joys is seeing my clients faces light up when they find that special home. Whether it is a first time buyer or a couple finding their retirement home, their smiles give them away. Another reason I became a Realtor is because I know what it is like to be transferred. I want my clients to be at peace with the whole situation of moving whether they are sellers or buyers.

It depends upon the buyers. I guess I would relate a buyer to a snowflake – no two are alike. Most of the time my buyers have done their research on the web before calling me when they want the "goods" on a home. When I sit down initially with them, we go over where they want to live, the school district they want their children to attend and how close to work they want to be. We then look at the homes they have found and want to see. I also show them houses they may not know about that would fit all their needs.

What do you do when you are not showing or listing homes? To be honest, I don’t have enough time to enjoy to the fullest my loves outside of real estate. My first love is my Husband and Grandchildren. I love the outdoors and activities that keep me outside, like golf, fishing, walking and gardening. Canadian fishing is the best. When time permits, I enjoy yoga.
