RECOMMENDATION Letter of Support
The ethical and ecological human consumption and production of food is one of the great challenges of modern science. This research problem also comprises the ethical and spiritual dimension of certain dietary laws. The food chain on earth, the way how (what) we eat and what our consumption behavior does to our and other living bodies, all this apects of nutrition need a sharper scientitifc examination. Food production and consumption is a techno-humanitarian problem, it implies a global and sustainable perspective and existing knowledge gaps have to be identified. The dissertation research project of Raja N.A. Khan is searching for practical solutions, and the candidate did already publish substantial research, concerning the scientitifc problem of human food production and consumption. I am sure that the candidate will present a research work that will contribute to objective knowledge and economic value in food science.
