01 Phuket boat pattana Ko Kaeo development project (1st prize) The project originated from Boat Pattana company limited's development plan of the land in Ko Kaeo, Phuket, Thailand. Which has sea and mountain scenery at the north and south of the land. We were working in group of three. The design brief is to design commercial area, residential area and hotel area within the project. And as we had discussed among group, So we decided to take commercial part of the project for me. Co-working with : Thanapoom boondee Pawanrant Kitiyanont From faculty of architecture, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi

Concept We first came up with the four element concept. As we researched further we were acknowledged that all of these element can be measured on the geometric. And we finally found a pattern that can convey all of these element which called "Flower of life" pattern. From that we tried to intrigrate the concept with the sense of each building zone.

use flower of life pattern to help convey the concept and resonate to the scale

02 Orphanage for kid in risk

Project background Research from the cause of sexual issue existed in Thailand. The research begin from sex worker who are not having consent to do this job then focusing on the kid who got most risk for becoming sex worker and recieving other social problem. So this project aim to help homeless children from the bad society or improper condition to grow up. Support them with architecture program, focusing on space improvement due to their activity and living lifestyle. Proposing the supporting system via private company. For this project, I chose CP ALL company to demonstrate the system

Building idea and concept Missing fundamental connection to society

Kid with no family / parents “Orphan”

“Create strong connection among kids to eatablish fundamental connection to society”

By give an importance to

:

1) give center sharing space 2) give privacy according to their ages

by having a center of activities and access

Concept and zoning development 2

1

3 make green to become boundary to define common space and border for grown up kid

increasing middle common space to be bigger because there're more amount of people using it

by that kid is not connect to other, so cut out the green to make center axis connection

5

4 reducing the area at the corner and increase in the middle because the amount of user in each space

6 increase front entrance area to be bigger to be able to recieved more children

entrance defined in lower corner of the building, so cut out the green space on the lower side to create access for entrance

change level line to become more harmonize

7

8

change front entrance to go along with plan shape

9

putting security and administration in front of the entrance to increase kid's security

putting staff aside to be easier to access office, kid's area and outside

10

facing toddler and grown up in different direction to create common space in the middle

11

storage is between outside and inside to be easy to access toy from outside and inside. children WC is between outside and inside of the building.

locate the dumpster next to maid area

12

adjust size of baby area and canteen to be suitable

the canteen and baby area block the access from entrance / rotate to give access

03 biomimicry project future school 2030 Biomimicry school of the future 2030 is the project of how to use an advantages of an animal in the way of adaptation, instinct behavior and else to adapt into the building in the future that we would face many kind of problems such as shortage of the water , air pullution or population density. Grasshopper is used to generate and convey an idea of biomimicry.

Idea and inspiration As researched, the world in 2030 tend to have more global warming, the temperature will be increased and the would also have a water shortage. So I thought about how to cool the building down by using the water to create temperature sustainability. As I got an idea, I was finding a biological things to support my idea and lead to the function to the building. Therefore I chose to use the benefit of the skin of " thorny devil lizard " to make buildeing be able to collect the rain water to reuse and also cool down the building temperature.

each scale enlarged and drawn out to a point in the centre.but the shape of the scales also serves another and most unusual function. Each is scored with very thin grooves radiating from the central peak.

Adapt to the building idea The groove for conveying the water of the lizard can compairing in architecture as the the line to define the group from the pattern. Which are resonate to the pedagogy as it said the student will be convince to study in group and stay in group.

Overlapping scale of the thorny devil created the tube-like groove underneath to convey the water. So I use this logic combining with diamond shape to create the overlapping space and can be the critique space as the school pedagogy emphasizing on the critical thinking

Use the logic that the water will be recieve first from the central peak of the scale. And applied it on the site factor. (The scale will be bigger as it getting near the natural factor)

The amount of the scale is also increasing as the scale go far from the central peak. To convey the water to go down in the groove equally.

2

From research it said that sphere is the strongest structural geometry, so I combine with the diamond shape which is the shape that can be seamless connection when put together

resulting the geometry that can create the sub-divide with the same shape and create the negative space and circulation within the overlapping space.

3

Factor I use in grasshopper for this logic is the circulation of people around the site. Once the shape are getting closer to the line the shape will reduce its size in to half and has only 4 variety of sizes as I had set in grasshopper.

The second attractor I used after I had size the shape down. I used this attractor to catch the shape along the ling of the street around site.

then i also use an idea of sub-divide to planning the space inside the building.

Step by Step The concept is to mimic old lifestyle of people in the floating market by customizing each room type to suit with the guests to live comfortably. There is a way to put the pool in line with the current canal. And has mimicked old-fashioned outdoor showers in a new context. We're meant to add and activities that is related to the unique Thai way of living. for users to learn by doing it themselves, including consuming local food That comes from the local people of the villagers as well.

05 CCCAC community and contemporary cultural art center Design brief of this project is to design a museum and community center around Rama 8 bridge. Aim to connect 3 community which are Wat Kahabordi community, Baan poon community and Bangaor Muslim community Project collaborate with Thiptriya Punthong

Idea concept and inspiration

Started from one piece of single panel as like a single rode from the bridge.

first we attempt to build a form with the stripes module which protrude up and down due to the program height. But as the concept is to interconncet 3 communities together, So I tried to connect it as 1 mass

Devided the panel into 3 parts with differ length according from the program of each panel.

Extended the opening space to create more accessible route. To the community

So I tried to united the form so we first start from the single surface and then adjust the level on the surface according to the level then we split it out to be 3 path to imply about 3 communities

devide some part of the panel to be walking route to enter the building

And for the final touch, we remove a part of the surface out to have some natural light to come in into the building

2

For the model on the left, I tried to simply connect 3 space which is small, medium and large space together. And on the right I made a space hierarchy into small, medium and large circle.

3 And from from number 2, as the site boundary was limit, So I decided to reduce a model component and move 2 components closer

So I developed it to be the preliminary design, I cut the roof for the sky light and make a connection of 2 masses by wooden bridge

Final outcome

So for the final outcome, I decided to divide it into 4 differrent height sector. And make a space in the middle to become a courtyard. I developed the skylight on top of the roof to only be 1 single line just for natural light to come in and simplify the design.

08 Renovation project too fast too sleep co-working space This project is about to renovate co-working space and cafe called "Too fast to sleep" in Samyan, Bangkok Thailand.

Idea concept and inspiration This concept is came from the experience when you walk along this building. That the level of the silence is increasing continuously when you get into the very inner side of the building. And also the first impression i got from the building that the building was looking small on the outside but space was unexpectingly huge on inside

the form inspiring from the experiment of imploding - the more the can get implode, the space inside the can is getting smaller. So in comparison into architectural space and concept, I want to make the space that gradually getting smaller and the privacy and the silence is gradually change too due to the concept.

2nd develop 3d model : tried to imitate each stage of imploding and make a model of each stage

3rd develop 3d model : developed model from 2nd stage model, make the model to be flat. And project the shadow from the section view of the model

4th develop 3d model : make the flat surface to connect as one design

THE MOST PRIVATE ZONE CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED BY ENTERING THE SECOND LEVEL OF ANOTHER PRIVATE ZONE TO MAKE IT EVEN MORE PRIVATE

I LIFT THE PRIVATE ZONE UP TO THIRD FLOOR LEVEL TO RELATE TO MY DESIGN CONCEPT “IMPLODING OF SILENCE” I HAD RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT HOW HIGH THE ROOM ABOVE THE GROUND IS HOW QUIET IT IS.

RELATED TO K. ANEK THAT HE REALLY CONCERN ABOUT FUNCTION IN TO FAST TOO SLEEP SO THIS FACADE COULD ACT LIKE A LARGE BOOKSHELF ND THE CUSTOMER COULD BE ABLE TO SIT IN THERE TOO.

09 Art4d x lamitak design competition : visualization wave (3rd Prize) Design brief is to design a product, pavillion or component of the building by using the 'Lamitak' laminate sheet in the design.

Idea concept and inspiration

+ projection mapping technology

overlapping concept

+ New experimental space

+ bending ability of laminate

by combining these idea together created new way of expressing art , graphic , footage and can also be mini public node for people to gather. This pavillion would move and change it’s way of folding as the visual in projector change.

The panel change its bending level by the mapping program and will stay on point with the picture or graphic showing showing 3D effects

Function

can adapt to be stage background for stage play to make more realistic and new experience for the spectator.

Can be adapt with interior design as space divider in the bigger scale

The design is flexible enough to change its shape depending to the surrounding and space

Idea and inspiration An idea came from the need of adjustable space and user. This pavillion will be place at the faculty of architecture which will include a variety of behavior in each student, some feel comfortable to be alone, some feel better with other. So we come up witht heset of module which allow the user to adjust and add a creativity by adjust the composition of the pavillion by themself.

STACKING METHOD TO MAKE THE STRENGHT OF THE MODULE STRONG TO HOLD HUMAN WEIGHT WHEN SITS.

REINFORCING METHOD TO MAKE THE STRUCTURE LIGHT SO ECH MODULE CAN CONNECT TOGETHER AND ABLE TO PUT ACROSS THE WALL

1

WE HAD PREFAB EACH PIECE BY USING THE DI-CUTTER METHOD AND HAD A LITTLE HAND CUT TO DETAILED IT

2

PLACING A STACKING MODULE ON THE BASE OF EACH MODULE LINE TO HOLD THE PRESSURE OF OTHER UPPER PIECES. PLACING REINFORCE TO UPPER PART TO REDUCE THE WEIGHT

3 X 8 CONNECTED EACH MODULE WITH BINDER PAPER CLIP WITH THE SILVER HOLDER TAKEN OUT. WE USED 8 OF BINDER PAPERCLIP TO CONNECT 2 OF THEM TOGETHER

Develop and testing CHOSEN GALLERY AS THE SITE FOR PLACING THIS MODULE BECAUSE THE WHITE COLOR OF THE GAL GALLERY WALL WILL ENHANCE THE BLACK COLOR OF THE SHELTER MORE.

THE FORM REFERS TO MOVEMENT AND WIDE SPREADING OF THE MODULE. THIS CREATES EYE CATCHING AND ATTRACTION FROM THE PEOPLE PASSING BY.

ACCORING TO THE INSPIRATION OF HUMAN POSTURE, THE MODULE BY ITSELF HAVE AN ANGLE WHICH IS ABLE TO SUPPORT HUMAN BACK AND ABLE TO SIT WITHOUT HURTING AND UNCOMFORTABLE.

OUR SHELTER COULD HAVE BOTH INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR SPATIAL QUALITY DEPENDS ON WAY AND SIDE OF THE USER USING. 2 STACKING LINES OF MODULE WILL CREATE SPACE FOR 1-2 PEOPLES.

11 Arsa volunteer camp at naan province , pua district , baan kok joon school Design brief is to design a product, pavillion or component of the building by using the 'Lamitak' laminate sheet in the design.

Idea concept and inspiration ARSA "Tawan Yimchang" is a volunteer group since 2009. This camp is 21st camp. This year we had built multipurpose class room as the request from the head of the school that they had not efficient class room for all level of the student. Each year we had 15 days to complete our building and since this year had limited the amount of the student who were able to get into the camp into 150 peoples and also had 2 buildings to finish. so this year was so challenging to managed all the people and time to finish the building on time. We seperate each major of the student into the job that each person are expert at.
