Combining poems from Shel Silverstein’s “Where the Sidewalk Ends,” “Falling Up,” and “A Light in the Attic,” I designed and illustrated a new and reimagined world for some of my favorite childhood poems. Silverstein invited us to be creators and
dreamers, so in light of his challenge, I created a colorful collection of his work focusing on the poems themselves as an expressive entity. The original illustrations by Silverstein are pictured in the book’s special feature chapter, as to not deny his incredible illustration skills.”
