the most challenging yet. Who knew the sunshine business could be so rough? I’ve had to tackle some of my biggest fears and set backs. I’m so grateful for all of you—my friends, my fans and clients. It seemed like in my darkest hours I would get the most encouraging and uplifting fan mail out of the blue. I often put work out there not knowing if anyone is on the other end. Who knew I could inspire so many other people? I tend to be so focused on getting to point B that I often forget, in the words of Miley Cyrus, “It’s the cliiiiiimb” not so much the destination that makes life worthwile. In 2012 I pushed myself by learning how to use film and took on various personal projects to strengthen my creative muscles. Looking back on the images from last year I can see the ways my work has matured and I have grown as a photographer. I honestly never thought I’d work for myself or thought I’d even grow to be a photographer. It was my friends who saw something in me and pushed me forward. I’m forever grateful. A few of the highlights from this year have been getting featured in Southern Living Magazine, getting a Wedding Wire Brides Choice Award and being approached by Ruffled Blog and Wedding Chicks on being a perferred vendor! This new year I’m dreaming bigger and know I’ll produced even greater things because the truth is I eat sleep and breathe this stuff. It’s why I’ve chosen to shoot no more than 25 weddings a year, and other smaller sessions of course. I just want to give the best of myself and provide something unique. Thank you Thank you Thank you to all of you who have hired me in the past! For those who are working with me this year, I can’t wait to share such a special day with you! I’m still in awe that I get to experience such a beautiful and joyous occasion with so many strangers turned friends. I also want to thank Justin Lee, Lev Kuperman, Bonnie Burke and Priya Patel for second shooting with me. I would also like to thank Daniel Krieger for having me to be his associate shooter. You can see those weddings here & here. Cheers to a brand new year full of awesomeness!

BEHIND THE SCENES

I NSPI R ATION

I’ve often felt disconnected with my current brand. The first time aound I didn’t put much thought into it. For the future I envisioned a sophisticated make-over all while keeping the cute and quirky feel I love so much. I’ve been collecting images for the past 3 years. Images that inspire me and remind me of the direction I’d like to continue on. It’s a fine line of classic and modern, whimsical and vintage inspired.
