JZ About Me
I was born and raised in New York, with the anticipation to graduate obtaining my Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design from High Point University. I aspire to branch out and explore any opportunity in Residential or Hospitality design. What I love most about design is creating a space for the client that is not only functional but also useable for future.
Travel sparks much of my inspiration for future projects. Visiting new places always excites me because of the unique architecture and overall design elements that characterize that certain place. The way individuals move throughout that place and interact with each other is also a notable detail that I pay great attention to..

Since Charlotte locals spend most of their time and money in independently owned shops, the design will be modern, contemporary, without feeling sterile and feature unique architectural elements. ADA compliances and Universal Design will be implemented throughout the entire space. The coffee shop will incorporate biophilic design elements to bring a sense of the outdoors into the space. The use of different shades of green are used within the building entirely to not only tie in biophilic design but, to create a calming environment for those who choose to work or visit. Different forms of division are present throughout the shop providing separation and privacy between areas. The furniture and finishes are based on an industrial style with a hint of modernity. A dark wood finish and black metals will be used on furniture throughout the shop to help with the industrial feel. A patio outside will provide additional space for those who want to work or just sit and relax. A conference/ educational room will also be located on the first floor to anyone who would like to rent it out but more importantly for the individuals to have meetings or conferences that rent out the co-working spaces on the second floor.
