Persimfan Production Village A Persimfan is an conductorless orchestra, its ability to function relies on all members being committed to the goal and also being able to be constantly aware of whats happening, thus they can make a judgement on how best to fit into the system. The persimfan production village would be an interesting model to test out in

a post earthquake christchurch instead of relying on big infrastructure, communities can become selfsufficient and thrive. This model is designed to be component based and highly replicable. Persimfan is a model of a new paradigm of living in a Post Earthquake Christchurch.

The new village will be an iconic example for the rest of the district. Thus it is placed in a visually prominent position that people travelling along the edge of the river can view it from many angles.

Madras Street

Based on the idea of he Persimfan, the village wil be laid out for maximum visual connection between main production spaces so all producers could be consistently aware of the ongoings.

Madras St is decided to be an important pathway, thus it will be retained in this new paradigm. The main access to the village will be from Madrass end.
