Ecological Systems. Marred by the Industrial Revolution, the hillside of Frick Park was formed by the constant dumping of molten slag during the peak of the steel industry. With toxic chemical leachate polluting the watershed, the new Frick Park Environmental Center seeks to education and to remediate the watershed through phyto-remediation.
