VINTAGE APPAREL CONCEPT Vintage Fabrics Incorporated with Modern style clothing My concept revolves around a vintage shirt I purchased for four dollars in a store in the middle of nowhere.. the only problem with this shirt is that it doesnt fit me but the design on this shirt is so unbelievably cool that I cant let it go. So I came up with a solution that would allow me to use the fabric of the vintage shirt and incorporate it into a modern style t-shirt. An example would be to use the vintage fabric as the sleeves/pockets on a plain white tee´s. For each vintage shirt I purchase I will roughly be able to make 4-6 new t-shirts using the fabric, so each range of shirts will be of its own, no two shirts will be the same meaning that they will be highly original.
Fashion and style are things that come and go, its hard to guess what the next big trend will be.. but one thing I know for sure is that design from the 70´s to early 90´s is amazing and alot of fashion nowadays is appropriation of that vintage design/art. So what I propose to do is instead of imitating the the actuall design I wish to physically use the real fabric and incoporate it into ”modern fashion”. * Vintage * Patterns - Imagery - Art * Hardy/Strong (fabric) * 70´s - eary 90´s (style) * New and Old contrast (shirts) * No two shirts will be alike * Original * Limited * Hipster? possibly.. * Funky
