train station in bologna, italy Project: Invited international competition to create a new high-speed transportation hub for Bologna positioned over existing rail lines, along with a business park, student housing, art gallery, and administration offices.

Responsibilities: Design, 3D Modeling, Layout + Presentation, Supervision of physical modeling team and animation team.

souk market and residential development jeddah, saudi arabia

Project: The Souk Community is a culturally informed design for a new mixed use neighborhood 23, 941 sq meter site within the Heart of Jeddah development. A total of 32,365 square meters of residential space in 9 structures housing a total of 222 units were generated. In addition 11,780 square meters of leasable retail space and 48, 500 square meters of parking facilities was also developed. These facilities were connected and shared with the adjacent multi-modal transportation hub known as the Muntalaq.

RESIDENTIAL

Over two hundred 1 - 4 bedroom units in 9 mid rise towers.

HORIZONTAL CIRCULATION Circulation between the residenital units and an elevated path to Muntalaq. (DESIGN PRINCIPLE #1.)

RETAIL

Almost 10,000 sqm of GLA at various scales (DESIGN PRINCIPLE #2. & 4.)

VERTICAL CIRCULATION Between parking and retail, as well as between residences and retail.

SITE WITH WATERFRO\NT Prominent water feature as a magnet to the site as a whole and adjacent souk. (DESIGN PRINCIPLE #1.)

hyde park neighborhood club renovation Project: Revitalize a youth center in Chicago’s Hyde Park Neighborhood. To include the establishment of a new entry and signage as well as classroom updates.

Project: 450,000sf residential housing project. The project was sited in the historic prairie avenue neighborhood South of Chicago’s downtown area. The brief required a diverse layout of unit types.

residential loft renovation

Project: The goal of this project was to develop a new set of residential standards and finishes for a local developer who maintains several units in the chicago area. This 700 sf unit was treated as a prototype within which to try out new working techniques, finishes, spatial arrangements, and fixtures. the project was completed in june of 2009 and the research and finishes have subsequently been deployed on many other units.

Project: Renovation of an existing kitchen and dining area on a budget of $18K. This project involved the removal of three walls to help open up the space and unify the dining, kitchen and living room area into a unified modern living space.
