ANDROID VS. APPLE The age-old question that any smartphone lover asks is, “What’s better? Android or Apple?”. Each type of smartphone has its pros and cons. Ultimately your preference in the type of smartphone you like will come down to what kind of features you are looking for. Below you find a few comparisons between Apple and Android phones that will help you decide which smartphone is the best for you.

HARDWARE One of the clear differences between the iPhone and Android is its choice of hardware. iPhones are only created by Apple, so they have more control when it comes to how software and hardware work with each other. Compared to the iPhone, Android has many more phone makers, Samsung, HTC, LG, and Motorola are just a few to name. Since there are many different companies, Android phones can come in a variety of sizes, weights, quality, and features. Price wise, Android smartphones tend to be a cheaper alternative to the iPhone, but premium-priced Android phones can be on par with iPhone in terms of the quality of its hardware. Although Android offers more variety, you have to consider both the brand and the model of the smartphone. Meanwhile, with Apple, you only have to pick a model. While some may love the wide range of variety that Android offers, others may gravitate towards Apple’s simplicity,

CONTINUITY ACROSS DEVICES In addition to a smartphone, tech users often have other devices such as a tablet, computer, or even a smartwatch. Apple users are able to purchase computers, tablets, and watches that all can sync up to to the iPhone. One cool continuity feature that Apple offers is the ability to write on one device and finish composing on another. Additionally, you can sync all of your Apple devices to receive any calls from your iPhone. Looking at Android, continuity isn't as streamlined. Google services like Gmail, Google Maps, and G-suite can work across all Android devices, but the experience isn't as unified as Apple. Other than Samsung, there aren't many companies that make a watch, tablet, computer, and phone.

INTELLIGENT ASSISTANT As smartphones continue to evolve we start to see a shift towards an artificially intelligent assistant. Google Assistant on Android is extremely powerful when compared to Siri. Google Assistant can pull instant answers from the web and even let you know what you can expect for your morning commute. Siri, on the other hand, is more limited in what it can accomplish. Although it updates every time with each iOS release, it doesn't offer the same advantages as Google Assistant.
