Inspired by world-renowned vineyards, Bourgogne Beauté, based in Gevrey-Chambertin, started a cosmetic adventure that was to lead to the inception of Vinésime. Passionate about beauty and building on the excellence of the Burgundy terroir, Edouard Dam idot, who created this project in 2012, drew from his discussions with a few specialists the idea of focusing on active ingredients that are good for our skin and developing the Vinésime brand.

It was Bernard Bouvier, a wine grower in Gevrey-Chambertin, who gave Edouard Damidot access to top-quality raw materials (obtained using eco-friendly and certified organic methods) and with whom Edouard was able to fine-tune his project for two years. And more especially, he was able to use the Burgundian Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varieties, both containing polyphenols – well-known for their anti-oxidant powers which help fight cellular ageing.
It all begins with the vines, which hold many treasures of longevity. The material, “vintage” active ingredients from parcels of the Dom aine Bouvier estate, is stabilised, reproducible and objectivised by international experts in plant extraction. It has given rise to two ranges using “vintage” active ingredients – Chardonnay Polyphénols and Pinot Noir Polyphénols.
An upmarket brand from the very start, Vinésime is currently distributed in luxury hotels in the Burgundy region and will be available worldwide very soon, offering those who love Burgundy – and there are many of them in the world – the opportunity to rediscover part of this region and its riches, “its soul” as Edouard Damidot confided in us, revealing his love for his terroir and intent on sharing its beneficial properties. A first product range was developed in March 2014, the Bath Cosm etics line with a “Le Clos” Chardonnay vintage extract, distributed in luxury hotels in the Burgundy region, both as hotel room amenities and full-size retail products.) The range includes a shower gel, a shampoo, a body lotion, a soap bar and bath flakes – all scented with delicate notes of Chardonnay.
And more recently, the Spa Cosm etics range with the A2OC* Burgundy com plex, inspired by the signature “Racines du Tem ps” Pinot Noir Vintage from Gevrey-Cham bertin, and distributed in hotels and luxury spas in the form of amenities, retail products and “Les Clos de Beauté” spa treatment protocols. The range includes highly technical yet sensual products for the face and body, aiming to preserve the skin’s radiance and youthful beauty, and bursting with delicious notes of Pinot Noir and Blackcurrant.
The “Racines du Tem ps” Pinot Noir vintage extract has been com bined with a rem arkable extract of Burgundy Blackcurrant to create the exclusive A2OC Burgundy Complex*, with synergistic and beneficial properties.

We thus offer you a vintage-quality Pinot Noir extract with the aim of protecting cellular life, capable of helping limit the effects of oxidative stress and the appearance of cellular ageing.

Vinésime The founders and shareholders
VINÉSIME products are marketed by Bourgogne Beauté, a limited liability French company (SARL) with a capital of €60,000, whose head office is located Chemin de Saule – Brochon – 21220 GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN (France).
The Founders: Edouard Dam idot and Bernard Bouvier Edouard Dam idot, Founder and Manager of Bourgogne Beauté, is an entrepreneur from Dijon who was born into a family with strong historical ties to the Burgundy blackcurrant. In 1926, his great-granduncle Gabriel Damidot, head of select crème de cassis brands (Rouvières & Fils, Quenot & Lhote), bought and developed the LejayLagoute company, now one of the French leaders in crème de cassis. Bernard Bouvier, a wine grower and co-founder of Bourgogne Beauté, has run the Domaine René Bouvier, originally founded by his grandfather Henri Bouvier in 1910, since it was handed over to him by his eponymous father in 1992. His enthusiasm and respect for the vines is shown in his practice of an organic, precise and dedicated viticulture, intent on protecting the soil and plants (microbial life and auxiliary fauna). The Domaine was given an organic certification in 2013.
Other shareholders: a team of experts, partners to the project Arelfi Holding, a Belgium investment company, is assisting us in developing our business model. It provides financial expertise and has opened its networks to us in France and abroad. Annie M ichel-Villaz, an experienced and enthusiastic consultant, imparts her experience gained working for major beauty brands. She supports us in the creation and development of the brand, accompanying our innovative approach and surrounding us with a network of well-versed professionals. Allan Lançon, with a PhD in Biochemistry, has notably worked alongside Professor Norbert Latruffe at University of Burgundy on many studies into grape molecules: resveratrol and polyphenols. He leads our team of biochemists in elaborating our “vintage” active ingredients and Bourgogne Beauté complexes. Dom inique M arcel-Huet, an experienced and enthusiastic distributor, imparts his experience gained working for major luxury beauty brands. He supports us in the development of our commercialization, especially in the Asia-Pacific area.

VINÉSIME is the fruit of the meeting of Bernard Bouvier and myself. Born into families respectively specialising in blackcurrants and vines, we were intent on providing cosmetic consumers with the exceptional benefits of the Burgundy terroir. Pinot Noir is indeed a prestigious grape variety that is difficult to grow outside Burgundy, with its particular weather conditions and expert know-how. Compared to other grape varietals, its vines contain by far the highest concentrations of stilbenes, including resveratrol. It is widely said that grapeseeds are amongst the richest sources of OPCs. Once again, Pinot Noir stands out as the variety whose seeds contain the highest concentrations of catechin/epicatechin oligomers. Building on these facts, we created Bourgogne Beauté. For the first time in its history, Burgundy offers the powers and botanical richness of its legendary vineyards to the world of beauty, inventing skincare as precious as its exceptional wines. VINÉSIME, through its range of cosmetic products, celebrates a world-renowned region. Loyal to the spirits of tradition and art de vivre that have shaped the history of Burgundy over time, our VINÉSIME products are developed with extracts obtained from organically-farmed lands and natural ingredients, in an uncompromising quest for effectiveness combined with ultimate well-being. Our vine extracts are produced every year after the harvests of renowned vintages from rare and noble vineyards.

Research based on innovation
Our team of Biochemists, led by Dr Allan Lançon, continually strives to improve the extraction processes that make it possible to obtain the cosmetic extracts containing the highest concentrations of active molecules. The extracts then undergo numerous tests, conducted in collaboration with the University of Burgundy and selected partner laboratories, to demonstrate their effectiveness and safety. Our formulas are based on a rational choice of natural raw materials and a selection of quality active ingredients objectivised by their suppliers and obtained through unique and specific extraction processes. The star active ingredient, present in our whole Spa Cosmetics range, is the A2OC* Burgundy Complex (*Anti-Oxidant and Cellular Oxygenator), a subtle alliance between a Pinot Noir extract from very old vines in Gevrey-Chambertin and a Burgundy Blackcurrant bud extract.

Fortified, the skin is sublime and its beauty is enhanced. “Racines du Temps” Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir vintage extracts from Domaine René Bouvier, a wine-growing estate using eco-friendly and certified organic methods Prepared by macerating and fermenting the seeds, skin and pulp from Pinot Noir grapes, the polyphenols are highly concentrated in catechin and epicatechin polymers (OPCs). These components, part of the flavonoid family, are powerful anti-oxidants. They are capable of helping lim it the effects of oxidative stress and the appearance of signs of cellular ageing. Burgundy Blackcurrant bud extract, obtained from sustainable and eco-friendly Burgundian agriculture A unique active ingredient combining vital native molecules concentrated at the heart of the blackcurrant bud to give cells a real boost. It helps stim ulate the cells’ energising activity and respiration, thus working to im prove cell m etabolism and optim ise cell renewal. The skin regains its original radiance. Furthermore, its anti-free radical action combined with that of the Gevrey-Chambertin polyphenols helps preserve the skin’s translucent appearance. All products are free of animal-derived ingredients, parabens, phenoxyethanol and colouring agents.
