Jeremy Miller FSA
Miller resigned from Gehry Partners LLP to pursue a degree in entrepreneurship and management at New York's Columbia Business School. He earned a spot on the Dean's List and served as a teaching assistant for the university's Greenhouse Entrepreneurship Program and Launching New Ventures Program during his studies. This is when he had the idea to create a healthcare service focused on educating employees about and maximizing their use of flexible spending accounts (FSA). An FSA, which is arranged through an employer, enables employees to spend their income tax-free on medical expenses; however, as Miller discovered while working at Gehry Partners LLC, many employees were unaware of the process and were thus forfeiting the ability to cover healthcare-related expenses without paying taxes on the income used for this purpose.
