FROM THE STYLIST
This look aimed to capture the confidence and courage Terin has both in life and on stage. It switches up texture and dimension and is easily a performance outfit. Terin is never a person to be described as shy so I chose large drooping jewelry and popping metallic colors to highlight her fearless character. The satin robe plays a great contrast with her natural features as she dolls her self up to bring the house down. ~ Gavin O’Neill
FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Since we used the same set for LOOK 2 as we did for LOOK 1, I really wanted to step outside of my comfort zone to offer a completely different edit. My style is more simple and natural but I wanted to take the time to go all out for this look. This involved several steps and processes. I always shoot and edit in RAW format. However, to achieve a harsh and cold contrast between the subject and her surrounding I had to convert my files to TIFFs to make my edits. After I achieved the dingy and over-clarified contrast that I wanted, it just wasn’t flattering to the subject. So I then had to overlay a masked warm edit of only the subject over the edited images in Photoshop. I’ll admit that I took more liberty in the edit of the colors in this look than the stylist would prefer. However, I felt that it was necessary to achieve the feel and emotion from the subject and what she was wearing. ~ Jeremy Ryan
