Taking inspiration from critically acclaimed photographers like Richard Avedon, Paolo Roversi, Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, and Norman Parkinson, Jerick strives to follow his idols’ objectives and to continue redefining fashion photography as an exquisite art form. He currently dabbles in fashion editorials and portraits. When asked what gets his creative juices flowing, he responds, “Simply by seeing the whole set-up of the shoot gets me going: the clothes to be used, the location itself, and of course the models. But the best thing that can effectively heighten my creativity is fact that I get to work with different kinds of people each shoot. Nothing material can ever exceed that idea.” Jerick also takes cues from the ‘50s, incorporating its flavor to some of the works he’s doing at present. He confesses that myriad of vintage tableaus or any creations bearing tinges of the abovementioned decade fuels his artistry as well.
