i am I am Jeroen Meybosch. Currently I am studying Integrated Product Development at the Artesis University College of Antwerp, Belgium. As a designer, I work in multiple disciplines such as product design, poster design and logo design. Therefore I have a broad variety of interests like advertisement, products, brand identity and graphic design.

Due to my studies my focus lies on product development. By using a structured design process from ideation and scientific research to technical development and economical analysis, I assure that products are worth producing and using.

Product design Monomaterials 1Ba IPO 2011

The assignment of monomaterials was clear-cut: design a coaster holder in two different materials, each design in one specific material. The first design had to be made by injection moulding and the second one using sheet metal bending.

3

The focus of this assignment was to develop form, moulding and folding scenarios. I also made a rapid prototype of my designs out of polystyrene foam and polystyrene plate using CNCmilling.

product design Redesign

2Ba IPO 2011

Redesign a soap dispenser from scratch and incorporate organic design, thus the assignment. The design may not look very organic, but I chose to use a Zaha Hadid style which is rather futuristic. Focussing on the design of the dispenser as well as the technical development opposed by the form, this assignment gave me a first taste of real product development. First we analysed the product

in groups to learn about the problems we would be facing during the development phase. This was followed by an ideation phase in order to explore possible forms of the product. At the end of the process a rapid prototype was made to assure ergonomically correct dimensions.

Being the most technical assignment so far, this was a real challenge. I was challenged to improve a special tool for a specific profession. Visiting the workshop of the national railway company of Belgium I found a worktable to restore pantographs which could use some improvements. A pantograph is the top part of the train that collects power from the transmission line.

An analysis of the problems of the original worktable and several calculations were needed to come up with suitable solutions. An ergonomic approach has been an important aspect as well due to the close interaction between product and user.

poster design Bossa Nowa 2010

In the 6th grade of high school, our class organised a party called Bossa Nowa (referring to our teachers nickname 'Bossy' and our class abbreviation NW). I wanted to create a less cliche poster with a more artful appearance.

poster design Openlucht Bal 2011

Challenged to update the poster of a local open air party for a youth movement, I made this. The idea of an open air party (in Dutch: openlucht bal) brought me to the moon and a star filled sky as well as a pint of beer held up in the air.

7

poster design Ons Huisje 2011

For my sisters housewarming party, I got the opportunity to make a vintage poster. Starting in Adobe illustrator where I made a complete vectorial landscape I continued my work in Adobe photoshop to add vintage effects and come to this result. The title 'Ons Huisje' sounds like 'Our little Home' in English.

8

logo design Jeroen Meybosch 2009

Creating a monogram of my own name was a challenge I gave myself (and was later given to me by my school). I started from my own handwriting because I considered it to be a very personal thing. The result is simple and effective.

9

logo design Everything and More 2011

everything and more. For a school assignment, we had to create a fictional design agency for which I made this logo. Our agency focussed on brand identity. The infinity symbol which is implemented in the logo represents the wide range of services the agency offered. The name does the same thing but with words.

‘11-’12

A sweater for our student house with a fancy logo. That was the challenge. 'Kot' is the dutch word for 'student house' and 12 referes to the house number we all share. I wanted to design a logo with negative space to create a certain depth. In front, I positioned the logo and on the back are all the names of the students currently living in our student house. The logo creates and represents unity among our student house.

3D-modelling Sports car

2Ba IPO 2012

For my exam 3D modelling, I made this car using Rhinoceros. After modelling the complete outside of the Zenvo St1 model I made some dynamic and realistic renderings. These renderings were made using Keyshot and Photoshop.
