In 1974, due to the unprecedented flooding in certain districts of Bangladesh, millions of poor and affected people were forced to take shelter in different towns and cities. In addition, the scarcity of food supply worsened the situation, leading to widespread famine and death. As the Information Officer of Caritas Bangladesh, I witnessed the effect of this famine and captured its effects on people in my camera for foreign donors. Much later, some of these photos were published in the 'Asia Darpan' of Dhaka on February 4, 1989.
