A Bengali-language commentary of Jerome D'Costa on the Bangladesh Govt.'s sudden change of weekly holidays from Sundays to Fridays and Saturdays. Although done to keep the counry's Muslim majority population in line with Islamic religious tradition, the government's announcement of it in September, 1982, without clear-cut provision for the Christians' Sunday obligation and their attendance to their offices and schools at the same time, created confusion among Christians. This commentator asks the government to look deeply into the matter and come up witha clear direction from them.
