This special Bengali-language 25th anniversary (1971-1996) souvenir of the Bangladesh War of Independence of 1971 commemorates atrocities unleashed on the East Pakistanis (later called Bangladeshis) by West Pakistani soldiers and their local collaborators, provides messages from leaders of various Christian Churches, elaborates on the participation and contribution of Christians in fighting against and saving lives from the military attackers, gives a list of Christian freedom fighters (called 'Muktijuddhas'), honours a number of freedom fighters who gave their lives for freedom, interviews a few more on their war experience in the field, throws some light on foreign Catholic missionaries and a local Catholic aboriginal priest who were brutally killed by the army men, and, finally, enumerates active participation of Christians in the post-war reconstruction and development of the newly-independent country of Bangladesh.
