A Bengali-language column 'Ajker Jagat' (today's world) of Jerome D'Costa - under the pen-name of 'Probashi' (emigrant) - tells of the newly-elected government of the leftist United Front and the historical background of the then Ceylon (later renamed Sri Lanka). It was published in the 'Pratibeshi' weekly of Dhaka, Bangladesh, on October 18, 1970.
