Coffee is a brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans, which are the seeds of berries from the Coffea plant. The plant was exported from Africa to countries around the world and coffee plants are now cultivated in over 70 countries, primarily in the equatorial regions of the Americas, Southeast Asia, India, and Africa. Coffee is a major export commodity. It is the top agricultural export for

numerous countries and is among the world’s largest legal agricultural exports. Some controversy is associated with coffee cultivation and the way developed countries trade with developing nations and the impact of its cultivation on the environment. Consequently, fair trade coffee and organic coffee are an expanding market.

CAPPUCCINO Cappuccino is a coffee drink that today is composed of espresso and hot milk, with the surface topped with foamed milk. Cappuccinos are often prepared

with an espresso machine. The espresso is poured into the bottom of the cup, followed by a similar amount of hot milk, which is prepared by heating and texturing

the milk using the espresso machine steam wand. The top third of the drink consists of milk foam; this foam can be decorated with the same milk, called latte art.

In addition to a shot of espresso, the most important factor in preparing a cup of cappuccino is the temperature and type of the milk you use.The fat content within the milk is what gives the cappuccino flavor and texture. When a barista steams the milk for a cappuccino, microfoam is created by introducing very tiny bubbles of air into the milk, giving it a velvety texture. The traditional cappuccino consists of an espresso, on which the barista pours the hot foamed milk, resulting in a thick milk foam on top.

mixer, increasing the speed as the milk begins to thicken. Continue mixing until you get the desired volume of froth. If you don’t have an electric mixer, pour the milk into a mason jar and shake.

3. Measure 2 tablespoons of

grounded coffee for 5 to 6 ounces of water. You can brew the coffee in an automatic drip coffeemaker or a French press.

4. Assemble the cappuccino! A

classic cappuccino calls for 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk, and 1/3 foam. You can mix it up by using 2 or 3 tablespoons of flavored syrups or even different kinds of milk.

Directions: Cold brew coffee is increasingly becoming the standard summer drink in high-end cafes. Cold Brew is created by steeping medium-to-coarse ground coffee in room temperature water for an extended period of time (12+ hrs). Unlike regular coffee, cold brew is never exposed to heat. It uses time, rather than heat to extract the coffee’s sugars, oils and caffeine. Cold brew is twice as caffeinated than regular coffee and taste less bitter, smoother, and has a more chocolately taste.

One part concentration, two parts water, add ice accordingly.
