Pirates invade the cabanas, an elegant new restaurant opens and we take a look at the past whirlwind year.
Cool Cabanas
Make a splash with our Kiddie Cabanas, a suite of creative, themed poolside cabanas that will delight children ages 3-8. With four choices—mini chef, princess, mermaid, and pirate—our Kiddie Cabanas elevate the pool experience by immersing children in the spirit of play—all against the beautiful backdrop of Harborside Pool Club and the Intracoastal.
Listen Up
Hear sounds as you’ve never heard before with Master & Dynamic x The Boca Raton wireless headphones. These premium headphones, available to purchase at The Boca Raton Shop at Cloister, offer rich sound quality, which are also perfect for the Master & Dynamic listening station at Tower. Within Tower’s second-floor lounge, experience superb sounds from the hightech Master & Dynamic headphones, available to borrow 24 hours a day to Tower guests for listening on your own device or one of the property’s iPads.
Catch A Wave
Bring on the excitement with the FlowRider wave simulator, now open at Harborside Pool Club. The nearly 40-foot-long wave-shaped device simulates a continuous wave, allowing passengers to lie down to boogie board or stand up to surf. It offers limitless fun for both participants and spectators, with the former invited to perform acrobatic maneuvers on the continuous sheet wave.
DO YOU WANT FRIES WITH THAT?
For action-packed days at Harborside Pool Club, pausing for a brief bite is a must to refuel. Enjoy scrumptious sustenance on the run with a variety of to-go offerings from Burger Bar—from a single or double patty Smashburger with signature sauce to a fried chicken burger or grilled hot dog. The only hard part is deciding between a side of curly fries or onion rings. Luckily the 50/50 option invites you to munch on both.
SPOTLIGHT: GOLF
The Boca Raton welcomes new Director of Golf Zack Stanley to lead its championship-level golf course, as it shifts its focus to an even more elevated golf experience—one that is full of personal, bespoke touches developed by a dedicated professional with an impressive background in the game. A graduate of the University of Florida, Stanley is a Florida native who began playing golf as a preschooler with his father. In leading The Boca Raton’s course into a new era, Stanley sees one of his best assets as making himself available to members and guests, a culture he is cultivating within the club to ensure accessibility and approachability.
“At the end of the day, that golf ball doesn’t care who hits it or stands over it,” says Stanley, who most recently was the head golf professional at storied Philadelphia Cricket Club’s Wissahickon Course, where he fine-tuned his skills alongside the club’s Director of Golf and Chief Operating Officer Jim Smith, Jr., a finalist for Golf Executive of the Year by PGA of America. “For me, it’s about taking each individual and providing them what they need to improve their game. Those details define us. It’s not the big things; it’s the little things that add up to an overall high-level experience at The Boca Raton.”
Stanley’s broad background of operating a world-class facility and giving members an extraordinary experience both on and off the course was also honed while serving as the head golf professional of the celebrated Course No. 8 at Pinehurst Resort and assistant golf professional of courses No. 1-5. Today, he looks to bring his personalized, accessible touch to The Boca Raton. As he puts it, “I am available to members and guests, and want them to know that as we enter this new era of golf, we’re here to make a difference in their experience and game.”
Quick Shots With Zack Stanley
Favorite swing on the Tour: “Louis Oosthuizen”
Golf gear that you can’t live without: “I use foreign currency as a tool to mark my golf ball on the green.”
Best golf advice: “Keep the putter head low to the hole.”
What three other people would make your ideal foursome: “Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, and my dad. Walking 18 holes with two of the greatest golfers to ever play the game, to hear their stories, and to share that experience with my dad would be incredible.”
What’s currently in your golf bag: “All Callaway golf clubs.”
Best personal memory on the course: “During my time as a golf professional at Pinehurst Resort, my dad would visit from Florida and drive to North Carolina for us to play golf together. Having the opportunity to take my dad golfing on some of the best golf courses in the U.S. is a special memory.”
Favorite course feature at The Boca Raton: “The gentle undulation and slope around the greens, though you can’t beat the Toptracer driving range either!”
Take A Break At The Break

SPOTLIGHT: BANYAN BUNCH
Banyan Bunch is a year-round daily dropoff kids program that’s known for its fun, dynamic, and enriching experiences for ages 4 to 12. The 2,300-square-foot kids’ club at Harborside Pool Club is home to an indoor play space (complete with a replica banyan tree at its center) and an outdoor pirates-themed playground with a splash pad and large-scale pirate ship (watch out for the water cannons!). Families can take advantage of the daily drop-off program and activities.
The program is based on four key areas: explore, create, discover, and imagine. The schedule includes a rotation of fun and educational youth-specific activities, such as yoga, art, physical exercise, scavenger hunts, nature walks and community building. With a no-electronics/screen time policy, Banyan Bunch brings a renewed focus on peer-topeer activities.
NOW OPEN: FLYBRIDGE
Dine with the stars at the brand-new Flybridge restaurant, where guests will experience magnificent views of Lake Boca Raton and beyond from the top-floor restaurant of Yacht Club. Flybridge is a fine-dining concept exclusive to guests of Yacht Club and Club members, embodying coastal elegance with its interior design that resembles a yacht with resin teak, blue hues, and high-gloss white paint and chrome accents. The restaurant’s executive chef, Peter Annewanter, brings his background from several different kitchens (including a Michelin-star restaurant in Austria) and applies those skills to the fresh, Florida-based ingredients served at Flybridge. We sit down with Annewanter to discover what exactly makes Flybridge a unique experience.
What does the Florida setting and its natural resources offer that you’re excited to work with?
“I think the possibilities can be near endless in creating Florida cuisine. This entire state influences me, from the fresh fish to the climate. My Austrian influence will always play a role because it is my home country and because it has a diverse cuisine, which is also made up of so many cultures, like here in the United States. And that’s the nice thing about the cooking profession: It can be so diverse. I count myself lucky to have a career that I enjoy and that is never boring.”
How would you describe the menu at Flybridge?
“Flybridge’s menu is connected to coastal cuisine and the South Florida region, but what sets us apart is that we have two menus: one that is fish-heavy with the option of a meat dish, and the second menu is purely vegetarian, with the option to switch between the menus.”
How would you describe the dining experience at Flybridge?
“At Flybridge, it is not just about the food; it’s a culinary experience with a magnificent view of the ocean—while dining on the best that Florida has to offer, including the freshest products prepared with great care and skill.”
What are you looking to achieve at Flybridge that’s different from other restaurants at The Boca Raton?
“Flybridge is unlike any other restaurant at The Boca Raton. Here, we provide guests with a memorable evening featuring food as the centerpiece. I always compare it to going to a concert: It’s different than listening to music in the car. We place great value on pure and unadulterated taste, like the bread and beyond; finding the perfect salts from Florida and the world; fresh fish from our fisherman, Eric Finn; mushrooms from the local Gratitude Farms; vegetables from the surrounding area; and a large portion of Austrian creativity.”
