THE INFILL

The project explored the development of an Architect’s Office in Upstate New York, with the utilization of a structure type to develop the plan and facade to succesfully meet the program. This program envelopes the use of functional office and productions spaces, public spaces, and a rear yard in which the structure is situtated at a street corner.

THE CONCEPT

The design approach explored developing a center courtyard and service space to orchestrate the surrounding spaces around this core. In addition to appropriatelty incorporate an existing rear yard space and natural light that is able to come in through the South side of the project.

THE TEA HOUSE

The project explored the development of an Tea House Garden in Upstate New York, with the utilization of Landscape and tea ceremony spaces to resolve the clients need for this ceremony and recreational space.

THE CONCEPT

The design approach explored developing a center Tea House and utilizing figure ground studies to orchestrate the surrounding spaces around this core. In addition to appropriatelty incorporate the client’s need for specified Tea Spaces and program’s use of landscape and yellow wall.

THE PHOTO GALLERY

The project explored the development of an Photo Gallery in SOHO, with the space dedicated to auction and display works of Andreas Gursky Barbara Crane, and Andre’ Kertesz. Notably this program exhibited a collage transformation being formed by a selected work to develop the PARTI.

The design approach explored developing a center courtyard and gallery space to orchestrate the surrounding spaces around this core. In addition to appropriatelty incorporate structure type that develops the figure ground of services and spaces.

THE SEMIDETACH DUPLEX

The project explored the development of an Duplex and Speculative unit in Fort Worth. The program responds to the client’s need of incorporatating a dedicated studio space, music room for her acquaintance, in addition to a library space for comunal gathering.

THE CONCEPT

The design approach explored developing a central courtyard between the main unit and speclative unit to orchestrate the surrounding spaces around this core. In addition to appropriatelty developing the PARTI within the site parameters exhibiting setbacks. Notably, the addition of a rooftop garden greatly expands the interplay of the exterior into the interior of the unit.
