CONTEXT
The analysis of exsisting architectural projects allows students to develop achitectural comprehension skills and graphic standards. This exercise allows students to immerse themselves in understanding the complexity of architectural projects in extreme environment conditions. Furthermore, allowing students to develop vernacular drawing skillsets.

CONTEXT
The Climate Crisis is a global challenge, (re)shaping the natural, cultural, and built environment. Ecological Design has therefore become a fundamental tool for architects and in architectural education, from basic to advanced design.
SPATIAL ADAPTORS
In small teams, students transform the existing typology of an Alpine or Coastal Hut into a new type of building. They develop a prototype based on specific spatial requirements they define for themselves. The group then splits to investigate how their base-type evolves differently in distinct environmental conditions: one Alpine, the other Coastal. After a series of analytical site studies, the teams investigate the performative aspects of their types in response to environmental impacts and spatial requirements. Environmental impacts and internal spatial relationships become the primary drivers of the design process.
