OWNING A DOG CAN BE A WONDERFULEXPERIENCE
but it isn’t always enjoyable.
Initially, owning a dog seems to be easy, but once the novelty wears off and the dog-related daily troubles kick in, you may find it hard to cope with the situation.
USE A PAIR OF TWEEZERS TO REMOVE TICKS FROM YOUR DOG
If you don’t have a tick remover, a pair of tweezers can also do the job. Pull out the ticks carefully with tweezers and place them in a bottle of alcohol to dispose of.
SQUEEZE SOME TOOTHPASTE ON YOUR DOG’S CHEW TOYS IF YOUR DOG IS RELUCTANT TO LET YOU BRUSH HIS TEETH
Make tooth brushing easier for your dog by spreading a small amount of toothpaste on his favorite chew toy. This allows him to clean his teeth effortlessly while enjoying his playtime.
USE RUBBER GLOVES/PACKING TAPE TO PICK UP STRAY DOG HAIR
Use rubber gloves to easily remove pet hair from furniture by running your hand over the surfaces. Alternatively, a roll of packing tape works well for picking up loose fur from your clothes.
PROTECT YOUR DOG’S PAWS FROM EXCESSIVE HEAT/COLD WITH VASELINE
If you want to save up on fancy and expensive paw-balms, you can apply Vaseline on your dog’s paws when you take them out during the summer or winter.
IF YOU THINK YOUR DOG HAS FLEAS, PERFORM A WHITE TOWEL TEST
Check for fleas by placing your dog on a white towel and brushing his coat. Flea dirt will be visible on the towel if he has fleas.
APPLY A PASTE OF CORNSTARCH & WATER TO STOP NAIL BLEEDING
Stop dog nail bleeding with a paste! Mix baking soda or cornstarch with water, apply to the nail for a few minutes.
ADD ESSENTIAL OIL TO YOUR DOG BANDANA TO ALLEVIATE STRESS
You can add 1-2 drops of essential oil to your scarf and your dog’s bandana to relieve anxiety.
PUT YOUR DOG’S PILLS INTO THE PASTA IF YOU’RE RUNNING OUT OF PILL POCKETS
If you don’t have pill pockets or treats to hide your dog’s medicine, penne or macaroni pasta works as well and your dog won’t even know it!
USE PARSLEY TO FRESHEN UP YOUR DOG’S STINKY BREATH
Sprinkling some parsley onto your dog’s food will prevent stinky breath that dogs generally get after eating wet food.
USE BABY WIPES TO STOP DOG HAIR FROM CLOGGING THE DRAIN
Prevent drain clogs while bathing your dog! Place a baby wipe over the drain, secure with a stopper, and remove after the bath to easily collect the hair.
