ve hou sin g Site Montpellier, district of ClĂŠmenceau. Objective of the project Create a collective housing on a plot which measures one thousand four hundred square meters. Response provided My idea was to create a project with a method of entry. You are in the street, there is a little hole in the building which means the entry. You arrive under a drak porch. After you cross this place, you arrive in a very bright and green courtyard. The contrast between these two places is a part of method of entry. The access to housing is allowed thanks to pathways which are external and detached from the facade to preserve privacy of residents. Moreover, each flat owns an entrance porch with a wood cladding which protects the inhabitants from view. Each flat own a terrace which is either north or south and there are through-apartments. The building is made of concrete and there is wood for the entrance porchs and for terraces.

e nte r Site Saint Jean de Fos, at the Northwest of Montpellier, 10000m² et 12% of slope. Objective of the project Build a recreation center and social housing for the common community of the Herault valley. Response provided Create several public spaces so that the villagers can enjoy the valley landscape. Use of the slope to create several levels. A first with multipurpose room. A second with the recreation center and the last one for the housing. The buildings have a stone base and wood frame walls with a wood siding outside. The recreation center’s plan is an interlocking of four squares which each contains a function. The roofs heights vary depending on the activity carried in each room.

As ce

nt Site Neighborhood of Malbosc, at the NorthWest of downtown Montpellier, 3000m² and 5% of slope. Objective of the project A construction which must house artists and welcome some spectators for the diffusion of shows created in this place. A place where the culture is created and shared. Response provided Reinjection of salient features of the neighborhood at the project’s scale; resume its geometry namely a main axe which allows to continue the existing perspective of the neighborhood, secondairs axes and islets. The ascent’s idea to access at the site is preserved inside the project thanks to some platforms whose link is provided via stairs.

th e sea s id e Site Palavas les Flots, a beachfront plot, 600m² Objective of the project Creating a group from 3 to 5 individual house ranging from T3 to T6. Response provided A plan to have for every house the entrance and the garage by the street side and a private access to the beach. For that, the land division is oblique that causes, however, interior design difficulties and brightness problems. The houses being terraced, the openings were made at North and South so, we must create patios to increase the light entrance. To enjoy the climate and landscape, many terraces are created with the protection against sun. Concerning the structure, five walls divides the plot and the floors are built between two walls.

lim i s t an d pa sag e Site Square of the church Saint Roch, Montpellier. Objective of the project Create a topography of 20m² and height 80cm maximum which must to offer residents a place to sit, lie down and chat with friends. In line, we must realized a limit at this toporgaphy and a passage serving a place to shelter themselves. Response provided Use of existing concrete bench on the site, creation of columns of 45x45cm and of varying heights to meet expectations. The topography follows the orientation of the bench. The limit also but some columns make a rotation to take the orientation of footboards of the square. The passage follows this frame and echoes the topography. This create a sort of flying topography and a stroll more or less steep in the project.

one h o us e Site Salasc, village at 60km West of Montpellier. Objective of the project Create, thanks to 5 volumes of defined dimensions, a building whose the program was free. Response provided Confection of an house with a large living room, two bedrooms and one bathroom. The access to intimate parts was done thanks to a footbridge. The project takes into account the slope. The project has virtually no impact on it. Putting the intimate rooms on stilts, we keep the existing topography intact. The views are made on nature, existing trees,... Footbridge made of wooden and glass slats echoes the surrounding forest.

ona l C ap s ul e Objective Imagining the city of tomorrow. For this, a group of 10 persons (students of architecture, interior design and urban planning) is put to. Response provided Man is at the center of any reflection. A program of «assisted living» is developed. It proposes to optimize the resources, quality of life and comfort. The project consists of several cells (private, common or production) which are assembled to create towers. The program is adaptively increase or decrease respecting the balance : PRIVATE-COMMON-PRODUCTION. In the way, the creation of units brings in direct proportion, the creation of others units favoring collectivity. An hexagonal frame is developed for the adaptive implantation network. And also in the different towers. It’s a scalable project which changes over time. It adapts at the new needs of men. What I remember A very rewarding experience where each person has his own ideas, strengths and weaknesses. It took compose together to create a project in one week. I was able to discover the working group and task sharing.

Bo x Objective Create an alternative housing for a single person. Must be mobile, autonomous, adaptative and take place in any location to meet the contemporary housing issues. Response provided Concept of the box : folded during transportation, unfolds to reveal solar panels, a rainwater collection tank and a solar shading that protects a terrace folding too. Sufficiency provided by a kitchen garden on the roof, accessible thanks to a ladder. Kitchen garden which is part of sustainable development process by allowing the user to grow seasonal produce, healthy eating and everywhere. Inside: entrance by the large bay window, the coffee table in two parts to accommodate the needs. The bed, perched at 1m40 height generates in basement a wardrobe and a staircase with alternate opening and a water heater location. Materials choice: wood frame with wood wool insulation for greater respect for the environment. For the outside, a dark gray wood siding is installed. What I remember Work as a duo is enriching as it allowed a real dialogue and brought me new knowledge.

st o ck Objective Design and built a street furniture responding the needs of users of the Parc de la Bergère to Bobigny. Response provided We decided to create a square platform, taking the size of the boxes on the site and make it rotate. Seats were created on the platform. Two colors has been used: pink and green to interpellate passersby. What I remember Built a project that you have imagine is really interesting. I realize that the drawing is not always suitable for building and that must constantly revisit his ideas.
