Logo for Creditum mobile application During my internship in the web agency imedia in Lausanne I had the opportunity to work in many projects. For this project I had to create a logo for Creditum’s application based in their new logo. I had to use the blue colour of the original logo and respect the typographics choice (Open Sans). The logo of this application was created to be different, visible while being clean. This was made so the logo will age gracefully and will almost be one piece of colour that will stand out amongst the other apps. Visit cards and Letter paper After the application logo I had the chance to make the visit cards of the company and the letter paper. For this I had to use the logo and Creditum’s blue.

Logo for Altitec Altitec is a company that specialised in difficult acces works in high places. The client asked for a logo that will include a carabiner. The carabiner is an essential tool that aloud the climbers to secure themselves when they are working. In the logo I decided that the carabiner should interact in a way with the typography alounding it to stay easy to the read.

Poster and a dance card for the 49th Festival of “Chant du Bas Valais

The Committee of the Lower Valais singing party wanted a poster that would show that this gathering, with several singing groups, would be a great festival taking place over three days with several activities for the public. For the poster of this event, we had to create an entire universe that could then be declined on several medias, such as the paper letter for the event, the book for the sponsors, the dance cards and banners. For this I created a series of illustrations of mouths, arms and various elements that are a reminiscent of a concert or a rally. These elements could then be broken down in different ways on different medias.

Arunda The company sells frames and various precision tools for assembling frames. For this mandate I had to create a very intuitive website with an interface that would be easy to use. Products had to be presented clearly and the different sizes and models had to be visible. The visual identity of Arunda includes orange and brown, these colors had to be used in the website. It was necessary to apply the web codes with those colors in orther to keep the harmony with the disposal of the products.

Big Brother is watching you (1984 - 2009)

This book was completed in 2009, it was part of my job to mature. The topic was video surveillance in Geneva, my work showed how the implementation of cameras in the town was increasingly common.

In the theoretical part of the work, I questioned myself about what this camera invasion told us, I theorized that CCTV was slowly being replaced our consciousness. The booklet explaining my work method and the way I squared the city and through several neighborhoods to photograph CCTV cameras. In the book, I also spoke of those who had installed the monitoring devices, I have found that most were private companies.

Publishing House Kères This publishing project was conducted in 2009 during a workshop course. The mandate was to establish the identity of a publishing house from A to Z. We had to define what kind of books we wanted to publish and the type of graphics design that would define his identity. I chose to call my publisher Kerès, in reference to the Furies of Greek mythology who carried the souls of the dead on the battlefield and led them to hell.

This choice was made because my publisher would be specialised in detective novels. I wanted to evoke the theme of death, without being too macabre. For this I prefered not to use photos, but rather typographical constructions on tracing paper to serve as covers for books.

4 Days 20 Minutes During a workshop held by Nicolas Bourquin in 2012 we redesigned the free newspaper 20 Minutes. The goal was to transform a graphically weak and mediocre newspaper, in an editorial graphically beautiful object. The constraints were to respect the original format, do not use pictures, use Greta Txt Std typography and have a different graphics processing for each section. Each student received a section of the newspaper to work with. I worked on the news of the world section, which was displayed on a double page. To remake this double page, I observed how people read the newspaper. I realized that often people turned the pages quickly and only read the titles searching for an article that interested them. To facilitate their work, I created an summary on the left page using different weights of typography to highlight the largest news titles. The news were on the right page and could be found through a small number placed near the title and the new.

eBook for Metro This digital publishing project was carried out during an editing course given by Nata Rampazzo. We imagined that the Metro newspaper could offer a supplement. I proposed to give a free book that could be offered in the print version throuht a QRCode and in the digital version of the newspaper.

Digital content taking more and more importance, the idea of offering free books seemed relevant. In addition, free newspapers such as Metro, are often accused of misinforming, having poor content and design and overall being the lowest kind of information sources. I thought that offering classical litterature and awarded new books would be a good way to show that Metro wants to make available information as well as culture.

Blue Greta During a typography class ( 2011 ), we discussed how fonts are distributed and sold. We received a text explaining the process of creating and marketing a typographical family. To illustrate this text, we had to use typography Greta Text Std and create visual content. I chose to show letterpress with ink stains in water, to highlight the work of forms and the harmony that emerges form them.

Vinyl “ Paint it Black ” For this project, in 2012, I redid a Rolling Stones album using the song Paint it Black. I represented it by showing a scan of my dyed black thumb and edited with Photoshop to highlight my fingerprint.

Declaration of Human Rights This poster from 2013 was made during the class of Graphic Design held by Anette Lenz. The project was to commemorate the creation of the Declaration of Human Rights. Taking as a basis the first article of the declaration I decided to show it as if it was a message from the United Nations addressed to countries known for not respecting nor have signed the declaration .

Repetition

The Theory of Repetition postulates that at least 8 repetitions are ordinarily required, even by the most motivated student, to actually memorize a given idea into permanent memory.

Bonjour

This project from 2012 explore the topic of repetition. To create this series of posters, I wanted to talk about the role of repetition in learning a task. A theory of teaching held that a task or action needed to be repeated at least eight times to become a permanent souvenir. This theory reminded me of repetitive work and gestures that accompany it. To illustrate my point, I filmed myself in my work at the airport while I was repeating the same gestures during a day in my workplace as a seller.

Data Design for the Swiss Tourist Office This project was completed in 2013 at an introductory course of Datadesign. Through this course I discovered the importance of data formatting and it uses in corporate communications. In the case of this project, we had a complete autonomy which allowed me to explore and experiment. I chose to show the number of tourists and their origins with folded clothes in the suitcase.

Elixir of eternal youth This packaging project was completed in 2012 during a workshop with Sylvain Allard, packaging professor at UQAM. For this packaging project, we had to choose a character from a story and create an emballage which could reflect the desires of this character. The product is an elixir of eternal youth which would be sold as a perfume. The packaging is white outside, but inside it has the appearance of a faceted mirror which reminds the character in the mirror of the witch in The Sleeping Beauty. Inside the white box, the elixir of eternal youth question the consumer will he/she decide to drink it or face his reflection and the traces of time and accept them.

Bachelor project ( 2014 ) Clean energies for the future of Switzerland I chose this topic because during the debacle of Fukushima nuclear phaseout had become an issue not only relevant but also highly debated. This topic had been interesting me for a long time and it is with great concern that I have followed the various proposals to find the best way out of nuclear. In the proposals that the confederation has issued, there was some information that spoke of how new energy would be used. I decided to make it an informative short film that would be aimed at a young audience. Link: https://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=qaCmyK47hg4 Graphic processing In this short film I made a stop motion with only paper cut. All components were made of paper, including the titles of each chapter. For the titles, I used the Lobster typography as a base and then modified it by creating ascendings and descendings, the ligatures and the accents, this way every word could be one piece of paper.

Creation of pictograms (2017) Creation of pictograms for the RTS, mandate via Qualinsight. Following a request for the marketing company Qualinsight I created a series of pictograms that represents the habits of consumption of information. The pictograms should be used to illustrate an opinion poll. This poll asked for what type of media were consumed, what time they were consulted, and the opinion that viewers had news. The second part of the mandate was to make an infographic to represent the type and amount of media consumed in a day.
