THE CONCEPT
An ideal event in partnership with the NGO organization, Los Argonautas and IE University to promote the NGO's initiave #Stop Edadismo. This initative encourages healthy and active lifestyle of the elderly while working to change negative stereotypes against of the elderly (edadismo). Our event will connect the elderly with IE Students (our main target audience) to help bridge the gap of the misunderstanding about ageism.Â

COMMUNICATIONS To get the word out we will be using the following platforms to attract our audience to our event:Â

PRE EVENTS:
PULL STRATEGY - We will be hosting a "Super Grandparent" online contest before the event. - We will encourage all IE students to provide us a short video on why their grandparent is the best in order for a chance to win a free flight for their grandparent(s) to Madrid to participate in Abuelo Village. - There will be approximately five winner. - We also want to reach out to students beforehand to either invite a local elderly person they know to join the event through word of mouth.
FOOD & DRINK Nothing like grandma's cooking We will reach out beforehand to contract local grandparents (with nieces or kids at IE) to provide homemade food for the "Best Homemade Food" contest. We will also have a "Best International Homemade Dish" contest in which the cooks are IE students but they can only cook special recipes their grandparents have passed down to them. (Ex: Grandma's secret special apple pie).
ENTERAINTMENT Elderly can do things as good as us Because we are partnering up with Los Argonautas we will include some of the participants of their program "Mayores Maestros" in which the elderly teach on certain topics to come speak at the event. Many of the elderly people who are active members of Los Argonautas also have special talents such as a famous couple who is known for dancing on chupitos. We will also encourage IE students to bring local elderly people with notable talents to us in order to have them perform as well.Â
ACTIVITIES let's get this party started First and foremost we want to raise donations for Los Argonautas. At every corner we will have a "Become a Friend" donation station where there will be a active participant of the NGO there to tell you more. We will also hold a silent Art Auction where the work will come from the art program of the NGO. We will also do some raffles like "win a painting class with..." in which people can win an experience with an elderly person.Â
