The Power of the Clutch We’ve all been there- you leave your house feeling like a super model. Your hair is looking flawless, your roots have just been touched up by your favorite hair stylist, and you just put your new “wand” to use.

You probably used a gallon of hair spray (at least) to make sure your hair stays exactly how you left it after you walked out of your front door. Most importantly, you couldn’t feel more confident with your makeup.

Here is your dilemma: You can count on hair products to keep your hair in place during a long night out. But how do you keep your makeup looking fabulous? Here’s a list beautifying products perfect for any quick touch up: - Lipstick - Chapstick - Eyeshadow

- Foundation - Concealer - Oil Blotting Pads

- Personal Sized Mirror - Baby Wipes - Breath Mints

Wearing make-up can be a complete pain, but if you get it right it’s so worth it. We are here to help! You asked, so we answered!

Q:

In the summer my skin changes colors. It goes from being very fair to very tan. However, there are the ‘in between’ stages, depending on how long I’m in the sun. My skin is a medium/beige color. and here are the problems I have: 1. I can’t find the right shade of foundation to match my skin when it’s in what I call ‘the summer limbo stage.’ 2. I also can’t afford to buy a different color foundation every time my face is a shade darker or lighter due to my time spent in the sun. HELP!!

A:

This is one of the most common problems that women have- especially in the summer time. What I suggest (and what works for me) is to mix foundations. Take your initial foundation, most often your winter color, and a foundation that is between two and three shades darker, mix the two until you find a shade that is perfect for you that day! Tip: Be sure to have a great bronzer on hand during the summer months, this will save you from spending a fortune on multiple foundations. Pick a lighter bronzer over a darker bronzer, if the lighter bronzer matches the natural pigments of your skin tone. Remember, you can always add color, but it’s very hard to take it away.

Q: A:

I’ve tried a million times to do “the smokey eye” look. I can never get it right. Is there only one ‘right’ way to achieve it?

There is absolutely more than one way to achieve a smokey eye! You can create your own- I do it all of the time! It’s all about the brush you use. Go to your nearest drug store and find a brush called the “airbrush.” It’s the smallest makeup brush that there is and its meant for creating little detail- that when finishedmakes a whole face come to life. It really will only take you a matter of two minutes, and once you’ve mastered it, you’ll be throwing in crazy colors, putting up pictures, and making tutorial videos. You’ll be Insta-famous in no time!

Igbo Wedding On April 9, 2016 Chinwe Uba and Ikenna Nwangwu married the Igbo traditional way in Afugiri, Abia State, Nigeria. The traditional Igbo way heavily involves the village men, women, and single women. Each play a heavy role in the traditions, as well as the parents of the couple. Each village group provides the grooms family with a dowry list. Dowry lists can include items like palm oil, cash gifts, African clothing, traditional materials, bottles of gin, jewelry, bags of rice, goats, and more. The ceremony is festive and full of colors. To start, the bride identifies her husband by finding him in the crowd, and giving him a cup of wine while on her knees. The ceremony continues with food, drinks, and jubilation. After the ceremony, the bride joins her new family and is taken in to her new home where the celebration continues. The bride’s youngest sister is expected to come along for a few days and report back to the family on the bride’s wellbeing.

Yin & Yang Black and White are go to colors for many occasions. While wearing white is not the traditional color for guests at American weddings, some themes incorporate it, like vow renewals. Don’t be afraid to stand out in an elegant jumpsuit or halter dress with the back out.

SPARKLE! Some of the more glam themes call for sparkle, and you should do just that. While sequins may not be your favorite embellishment, they look great at evening and late night weddings. Try an elegant design or just go all the way!

pink tie Black tie weddings come around every once in a blue moon, but they do happen. The standard long flowy chiffon frock is a great option for looking classic and staying comfortable. If you’re more into a structured look, the mermaid style is a great choice for adding a bit of curve to your class.

Are you looking to get that wedding body right? Fitness Expert Jessica W. gave us four go-to moves for toning! With these simple and quick exercises, you will look amazing in white, beside the bride, and as a guest.

1. Simple Push-Ups:

Toned arms always look great. Repeat this move for two sets of ten, taking a five-second break in between each set.

2. Pull Ups:

For this one, you’ll need a bar that is at least three inches taller than you, and can support your hanging body weight. Do this exercise for two sets of five.

3.Cardio Variations: Cardio uses a mix of low to high intensity

exercises that burn fat at a higher rate, and work most of the body’s muscles. You should aim to do at least ten minutes of cardio to get the blood flowing.

4. Stretch it out:

Spend 2-3 minutes stretching, focusing a stretch exercise for each muscle group you’ve worked on. You may also stretch at the beginning of your next workout.
