IN THE WIND KR Dance Production IV

What do we want to do with this canvas we call life? What will we leave behind? Dealing with the decisions and choices that ultimately shape one’s existence, In The Wind is a coming-of-age and family drama that centers around the apprehension and uncertainty of the future, and coming to terms with the struggle between living for oneself and living for others. Three lives in a family are forever changed after a husband leaves his wife with her young daughters, choosing to throw love away. Now grown up, the sisters go through significant events that force them to reconsider their mother’s role in their lives. As the newfound independence of the sisters challenges the authority of the mother, the family dynamic is pushed to its breaking point. A poignant tale that explores ambition and the significance of family in the modern age, through the expressive and communicative power of dance in a variety of genres, In The Wind invites audiences to consider the complexity of life and the free will to decide our own journey, amidst the pressures and restrictions that tradition, society and culture place on us relentlessly.
