Archaeology, meaning the study of human history and prehistory through, the excavartion of sites and the analysis of artifacts and other physical remains. Urban Archaeology is contemporary design elements inspired by natural components of the earth. This trend consists of materials made from glass, grass, wood, natural fibers and metal.
GLOBAL Traveler Global Traveler is a trend that will gain popularity in 2013. It is a mix of acid bright colors and eclectic prints. Traditional hotels and hostels will no longer be where the global traveler will rest at night. Tents, tee pee’s, tree houses, couch hopping, and underground eco hotels will be the new four seasons. Travel by train be the top method of transportation.
Biomimicry Biomimicry is being inspired by nature. Nature unvails alternative ways of design innovation, by using elements of the Earth. This trend will explore areas of apparel, interior, cosmetics, culinary, environment, and packaging.
Islamic modernity Islamic Modernity refers to a contemporary world. Elements in Islamic architecture will become part of modern design by characterizing or using the most up to dat techniques, and ideas. Ornate and detailed Islamic patterns will bring a sense of vibrant personality to simple design. Colors such as Lapis Azuli, Summer Orange, and Royal Gold, mimic Islamic temples.
Modern Romance Modern Romance is a trend that brings soft and sleek elements to spring and summer 2013. Mixing a neutral color palette with highlighting accents of pink provide interest. Feminine upholstery, wallpaper, floral prints, mirrors, minimal makeup and dark accents will strike a balance within the space. Keeping accessories to a minimum will ensure a fresh clean look.
