WHAT IS

topview?

TopView is THE event of the year. Intertwining both the launch of Beyonce’s new line for Topshop and the opening of the first Atlanta Topshop store, this event will create a portal between both parts of the world: the United Kingdom and the United States. Both locations share a common and unique feature, a Ferris wheel. Combining fashion, entertainment and iconic landmarks, TopView is not to be missed.


topview OBJECTIVES EVENTS - Raise excitement about store opening in Atlanta. - Raise sales through different social media platforms. - Reach U.S. market and increase brand recognition. - Create buzz around Beyonce’s collaboration. - Surprise guest, One Direction at Atlanta event. - Food Trucks bringing tastes of two worlds. - Successfully intertwine the the UK and the US through the TopShop brands.

PROMOTIONS - 25% in-store discount when participants take photo at events, share through social media, and use designated hashtags. - Atlanta participants are able to enter to win backstage passes if they guess who the surpise guest will be, through the email blast linked to webpage. - London participants are able to enter to win back-stage passes for the Beyonce concert, through the email blast linked to webpage.

10:30 - Section off 20,00 square feet designated for fashion show and concert. Barriers will be put up, to allow space for both runway and stage. Sound checks.

10:30 a.m. - Event space opens to public. Centennial Olympic Park Drive closed, between Nassau Street and Andrew Young International Boulevard. Fashion show will start from SkyView and lead its way to Centennial Olympic Park, crossing Centennial Olympic Park Drive. The concert space will be adjacent to SkyView. Barriers wil be put up, parallel to runway.

19:30 - Event space opens to public. Food Trucks open for service.

5:00 - Fashion show begins Portal “opens”, through use of light show.

22:00 - Fashion show begins. Portal “opens”, through use of light show.

5:30 - Fashion show ends and portal “closes.”

SOCIAL MEDIA The Topview event will be promoted through the already established Topshop and Topman social media pages. The platforms being used to promote this event include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube. Promo images, videos, and hashtags will be sent out to the platforms following a time of action calendar leading up to the event and as well a follow up after the event.

LONDON EMAIL BLAST To engage our audience and create chatter and excitement about the show, we will distribute a direct email, titled Topshop-Backstage with Beyonce. This email will not be sent until the announcement of her performance. The first initial emails will correspond with press releases about the store opening in Atlanta, the Beyonce and Topshop collaboration and the event announcement. The main direct email blasts will coordinate with the announcement of Beyoncé’s live performance at the event. The direct email we have created is stylish and catchy, and will surely grab the attention of our target consumers. The email talks up the show but also has a link, where they can enter to win: Backstage at the Topshop Fashion Show with Beyonce. The link will take them to a Topshop web page where they can enter daily. Each participant will only be allowed to enter once a day, and must return to the Topshop web page daily if they want to win this back-stage experience. This promotion will help keep our audience excited and engaged throughout the process of our promotional event and increase our webpage traffic generating more brand recognition and potential online sales.

ATLANTA EMAIL BLAST Similar to the direct emails for London, we will send out a direct email for Atlanta titled: London Invades Atlanta: Surprise Celebrity Artists. (Don’t Miss out). This approach will generate a great deal of buzz about who will be the surprise performer. Rumors will spread and there will be a great deal of speculation and conversation, about who the performer could be? The email has a link where our targets can enter to guess who the performer will be, to enter to win a back-stage pass at the event. The webpage link will have rotating silhouettes of performers, which will help to keep the conversation and guessing going. This will generate a great deal of word-of-mouth advertising and keep the buzz around the event alive. LONDON & ATLANTA The initial email will also have a barcode where they can win other prizes and discounts if they attend the show. It can be brought in on smart-phone, or a printed copy, where the attendee can scan the barcode at the show and they can win gift certificates or on-line discounts. This along with the daily chance at winning a day backstage at the show should generate a great deal of excitement and buzz.

TEAM INVOLVEMENT EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT & BONUS An incentive and rewards program will be established to engage our staff and freelancers and to help keep them excited about our Topview social media event. We will utilize an incentives program during the months of preparation and work leading up to the event, along with a bonus program linked to targeted goals tied to the first two months sales, following the promotional event, at the Atlanta and London Topshop/Topman stores.

INCENTIVES We will utilize a team approach to engage our sales team but we will also develop a program of individual ownership and empowerment. After developing our plan we have divided the event preparations into components that will be assigned to different members of the team. We have identified each of our team member’s strengths and delegated the division of the project to capitalize on these individual strengths and talents. This empowerment of each individual team member creates a sense of ownership. In order to ensure cohesiveness and excitement for the event we will establish a schedule of team meetings to come together to review the progress of each team member’s responsibilities and also collectively explore creative possibilities and discuss what is working and what is not. Coming together as a team is an important way to explore and support new ideas. During these team meetings we will also acknowledge individual achievements, recognizing those individuals who have done a good job, creating a sense of investment and friendly competition. For our team meetings we have scheduled certain days to celebrate our accomplishments with bonuses, activities and special parties. These events will help to keep our team motivated and recharge the team’s energy.


REWARDS The rewards program will create monetary incentives for our team members. Offering incentives & reward for accomplishments can be a great motivator. The rewards program will provide team members with bonuses for the below targeted sales goals. Our London and Atlanta event Time and Action Calendars outline our planned special team meetings. In the first months when the excitement remains high, we will have weekly coffee and donuts and breakfast meetings. After the first two months the whole team will not meet as frequently, so we have scheduled holiday parties for Thanksgiving and Christmas, celebrating milestones. After the New Year we will come together to renew and recharge and will begin to meet more frequently as the event date approaches. The day before Valentines we have prepared a full day spa retreat, for the entire team, to help keep up enthusiasm and replenish us for the demanding last two months before the event. The last two months we will be have more frequent team meetings. We will meet twice a week and then every day, the last two weeks leading up to the big show. With these effort we will not only provide incentive to each member, by allowing them to take ownership of their part, but we will also keep the team excited, as we come together to work collaboratively and keep the creativity alive. We believe all of these efforts are important, as an event of this complexity requires a cohesive and collective team effort.
