Product Information The Premier Pontoon solution is a combination touch and non-touch display solution. It is designed for instrumentation and control on electronically controlled engines communicating via SAE J1939 and NMEA 2000. The display unit is a multi-function tool that provides GPS tracking, Multimedia Display, and enables equipment operators to view different engine, transmission parameters and service codes. This solution is comprised of a four-key PowerView™ HV700 Display Unit with Touch screen functionality.

Care and Maintenance General maintenance is not required; however a soft cloth can be used for cleaning the units. Window cleaner or alcohol can also be used to clean the glass portion of the display. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners on the unit.

Basic Navigation Features All product features are easily accessed through Quick Access Keys, Menus, and Touch Point commands.

Quick Access Keys Home Key - When the Home key is pressed the Engine parameters are displayed. In addition the Water Depth and Positioning are also displayed. From the Home page the Trim feature can be accessed through the touch point on the screen. Stereo Key - Press this key to access the controls for the radio and other media. GPS Key - Press this key to access maps and other GPS functionality. From here Waypoints can be set up as well as Tracks. Switching Key - Press this key to access the Lighting ON and OFF switches. If Video, Bilge, or Blower options are available for this model, the touch points will be available. Settings Menu – Press this key to access settings for following: GPS, User, System Information, Diagnostic, Premier Pontoon Owner’s Manual, and Dealer.

Touch Point Commands Touch point commands provide access to most of the features and navigation shortcuts available once a landing page is reached. Each landing page has its own unique touch screen navigation. Depending on the current screen being displayed, they can appear as icons, words or a menu bar.

Quick Access Key Features This section describes the features accessed through the Quick Access Keys located to the left of the display.

Home/Engine Display The Home Screen displays the engine and other information.

The following information is displayed: • • • • • •

Water Depth Compass (longitude and latitude) Fuel Level Engine Speed: MPH and RPM Battery Voltage Engine Temperature

Touching TRIM displays a popup that indicates the position of the engine. NOTE: Moving the trim control on the throttle lever will also display the Trim popup.

Stereo Display Stereo Display can be accessed by pressing the

Quick Access Key.

This feature provides universal control to the Jensen stereo mimicking all the controls of a standard remote control. This includes iPod and Thumb Drive music.

GPS Display The GPS Display screen can be accessed by pressing the Quick Access Key. The GPS feature displays map data, Latitude and Longitude coordinates.

GPS Display – Touch Point Commands TRACKING MENU OPTIONS – Tracking shows the current route and any waypoints that have been set. In addition, it provides a way to create and name waypoints and tracks.

CURRENT POSITION – used to return to the current boat/satellite position after having moved the cursor to another location.

CREATE WAYPOINT – places a marker or ‘waypoint’ on the map to mark a favorite location after displaying the keyboard to name the Waypoint. After typing the name, touch DONE to save it.

CLEAR TRACK – displays a confirmation message before deleting the current track information. SAVE TRACK – displays the keyboard to name the track, touch DONE to save the name.

ZOOM / PAN – Switches to the Zoom / Pan Menu.

ZOOM IN – zooms in to make the map larger. ZOOM OUT – zooms out to make the map smaller. LEFT ARROW – moves the crosshairs to the left. RIGHT ARROW – moves the crosshairs to the right. UP ARROW – moves the crosshairs up the map. DOWN ARROW – moves the crosshairs down the map. TRACKING – switches to the Tracking Menu.

Switching Display Switching Display can be accessed by pressing the Quick Access Key. This displays controls switching on and off the lights. Touch the lighting features on the screen to activate or inactivate the feature.

Some options may not appear on this screen if the engine package is not equipped with it or if it has not been enabled by the Dealer Settings.

If Equipped Video - If video has been installed on this boat, touch the Video feature ON/OFF on the screen to activate or inactivate the Video screen. Press the

Quick Access Key to go back.

Bilge – if a bilge pump has been installed on this boat, touch the Bilge feature ON/OFF on the screen to activate or inactivate the Bilge pump. Blower – if a blower fan has been installed on this boat, touch the Blower feature ON/OFF on the screen to activate or inactivate the Blower.

Settings Main Menu The Main Menu Settings screen can be accessed by pressing the Quick Access Key. The settings functions are available by touching the screen on the appropriate menu item. Once the settings are updated, touch DONE. The settings are saved.

The following features are available: • GPS Utilities – contains options to set up track and position, chart and time, and waypoint manager. Also displays satellite status. • User Settings – contains option to customize the display for ambient light and brightness, set US or metric units, set the audio intensity and screen minimum depth. • System Information – displays information pertaining to the display software. • Diagnostics – engine diagnostics and fault codes. • Owner’s Manual – Premier Pontoon Owner’s Manual to view on screen. • Dealer Settings – secured access to dealer specific functionality.

Waypoint Manager Waypoints mark specific locations on the map by latitude and longitude. Once the waypoints are established, the Waypoint Manager provides access to associate an icon with them for identification. A single waypoint can be deleted by using the DELETE touch point, or all of them at once with DELETE ALL. Pressing the GO TO… touch point provides a way to go directly to the highlighted waypoint on the maps utility. NOTE: There is a confirmation screen displayed first when the GO TO… touch point is touched. Touch YES to continue or NO to cancel.

Waypoints – displays a list of the waypoints that have been set. Touch the UP and DOWN arrows to highlight the desired waypoint. Waypoint Title – Touch EDIT to edit the title of the waypoint. A keyboard is displayed. Waypoint Icon – assign one of four different icons to any of the waypoints listed. Lat/Lon – Displays Latitude and Longitude values for the currently highlighted waypoint on the list.

Track Manager Specific routes taken by the boat can be tracked, shown on the maps and saved. On this screen all the tracks saved on the device are listed. The Track Manager allows the user to rename a track and select which tracks to ‘show’ or ‘hide’ on the map. In addition, tracks can be deleted one a time by touching DELETE or all tracks can be deleted at one time by touching DELETE ALL.

Chart and Time Setup This menu option allows you to set up viewing options for the GPS Display. Chart Setup Settings – Touch the settings to toggle them on and off. Time Setup Parameters – is used to select correct time zone and clock mode for either 12hour or 24-hour time formats. Touch DST Enabled to enable Daylight Savings Time. Touch DONE to return to the previous screen.

Depth and Position Settings This feature allows you to define the amount of detail to display for longitude and latitude information on the GPS map and depth display. Touch the setting and touch arrow keys to select. Touch DONE to return to the previous screen.

GPS Status The GPS Status screen displays the location of the satellites. Touch DONE to return to the previous screen.

User Settings User Settings provide options to specify viewing preferences. Pressing PREV and NEXT navigates through the options, and UP and DOWN scrolls through the selections for each option.

Brightness This setting sets the brightness control by using the UP and DOWN soft keys to change the settings in 5% increments until the desired brightness is achieved.

Audio Volume The Audio Volume feature allows you to set values to automatically increase or decrease the audio volume according to what speed you are traveling.

Units This setting sets the units for the device. Choose from US Standard or Metric.

Minimum Depth This allows you to choose a minimum depth (measured from bottom of keel) to give an alarm if the vessel comes into a minimum depth situation. Choosing zero turns this option off.

Low Fuel Alert This allows you to choose a minimum fuel level in the fuel tank to give an alarm for low fuel. Choosing zero turns this option off.

System Information The System Settings screen displays the current software version loaded on the unit. This is a view only screen. Touch DONE when finished viewing.

Diagnostics When choosing this selection, the display will query the engine(s) ECU, as illustrated below, and provide feedback on any diagnostic codes that have been activated and stored in the ECU for service needs.

Diagnostic Message To check for faults, touch [GET FAULTS]. Shows the number of active faults and which fault number is currently being displayed. The LEFT AND RIGHT arrows at the top of the page scroll through messages. On the right side of the message description the following is displayed: Description Field – Most common SPN's and FMI's have text for the description stored in the display. If there is no text, then this SPN and FMI must be defined by referring to the engine manufacturer, or the SAE J1939 standard. • •

SOURCE – Indicates the source of the message. SPN –"Suspect Parameter Number" - fault code If not translated into text by the display, see the engine manufacturer's literature for the definition of the SPN number. FMI – “Failure Mode Indicator” - fault code The FMI is defined by SAE J1939. If not translated into text, see the SAE standard, or the engine manufacturer's literature. COUNT – number of messages.

Corrective Action -- suggested action for correction. ENG Hours – number of in-use engine hours. Get Faults – Touching [Get Faults] queries the engine(s) ECU for feedback on diagnostic codes that have been activated and stored in the ECU for service needs.

Owner’s Manual The Owner’s Manual screen provides quick access to the Premier Pontoon Owner’s Manual on screen.

Touch the screen at the point of interest and use the arrows to turn the page.

Dealer Settings The dealer settings are a secured area where the dealers can prepare settings for particular boat models. NOTE: A dealer code must be entered before the dealer settings can be accessed.

Touch ENABLED or DISABLED for each feature. Touch the appropriate Vessel Brand. Touch DONE when finished.

Troubleshooting Guide Display appears not to work or doesn’t come “ON”. 1. Display could be in sleep mode. Touch a key on the keypad to activate the display. 2. Check for loose connections at battery and display unit. 3. Check for reversed polarity on the power connections. 4. Verify battery has a minimum voltage of 6 Volts. Display resets or goes “OFF” when starting engine. 1. Check display supply wires are connected properly to battery. 2. Verify battery is charged properly. 3. Check battery for efficient starter current. Display has no backlight. Contact your Premier Pontoon service center. Display has no keypad backlight. Contact your Premier Pontoon service center.
